Story
Van Halen's rise in the 1980s was one of the most thrilling the music world had ever seen - their mythos an epic party, a sweaty, sexy, never-ending rock extravaganza. During this unparalleled run of success, debauchery, and drama, no one was closer to the band than Noel Monk. Throughout Van Halen's meteoric rise and abrupt halt, this confidant, fixer, friend, and promoter saw it all and lived to tell. Now, for the first time, he shares the most outrageous escapades.

It was under these desperate circumstances that Bradlee began experimenting, applying his passion for jazz, ragtime, and doo-wop styles to contemporary hits by singers like Macklemore and Miley Cyrus - and suddenly an idea was born.

James Hetfield, with whom many years ago Mustaine founded a band known as Metallica, once observed, with some incredulity, that Mustaine must have been born with a horseshoe up his ass. That's how lucky he's been, how fortunate he is to be pulling breath after so many close calls. And Hetfield is right. Mustaine has been lucky. He has been blessed. But here's the thing about having a horseshoe lodged in your rectum: It also hurts like hell. And you never forget it's there.

About the Expert
Sean is a lawyer and writer from Philadelphia who has been attending heavy metal concerts since the first time he heard Follow the Reaper by Children of Bodom over 10 years ago. Prior to that, he knew nothing about Metalheads or their incredible music, but he was fortunate enough to have some great teachers to introduce him to the scene. After attending at least one metal show per week for the last decade, Sean now considers himself a master Metalhead in his own right and hopes to pass his lessons along to newcomers to the greatest musical genre on Earth.

Story
Judas Priest formed in the industrial city of Birmingham, England, in 1969. With its distinctive twin-guitar sound, studs-and-leather image, and international sales of over 50 million records, Judas Priest became the archetypal heavy metal band in the 1980s. Iconic tracks like "Breaking the Law", "Living After Midnight", and "You've Got Another Thing Coming" helped the band achieve extraordinary success, but no one from the band has stepped out to tell their or the band's story until now.

Story
With student loan debt piling up and no lucrative gigs around the corner, Scott Bradlee found himself in a situation all too familiar to struggling musicians and creative professionals, unsure whether he should use the little income he had to pay the rent on his basement apartment on the fringes of New York City or to avoid defaulting on his loans. It was under these desperate circumstances that Bradlee began experimenting, applying his passion for jazz, ragtime, and doo-wop styles to contemporary hits by singers like Macklemore and Miley Cyrus - and suddenly an idea was born.
