She woke up to a life she never lived—and a son she never held.

Izzy’s been in a coma for seven years. When she wakes, everything’s changed: she’s not 18 anymore, and she’s suddenly the mother of a six-year-old boy. Everyone tells her she has no memory of the past, but something doesn’t feel right—especially with Jacob Blackwood, the stoic EMT who insists she used to love him.

Jacob built their life alone while she slept—raising their son, running the homestead, keeping the truth buried. Because the real story? It’s complicated. And Izzy isn’t ready for it.

But as Izzy begins to unravel the mystery of her missing years, what she finds isn’t just a past—it’s a future worth fighting for. If Jacob can finally let her in.

A story of secrets, second chances, and the kind of love that waits—no matter how long it takes.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book but it was obvious from previous books. I think Jacob is an amazing dad but I am not the biggest fan of Izzy. I couldn't fully grasp her thought process. I thought she acted like an extremely selfish B most of the time. I was raised to be independent and it did not affect my relationships in the way she was making it out to be. Most people are smart enough to know that ALL relationships need compromise to be successful. Izzy fought ALL compromise until the VERY end. Meanwhile, Jacob was selfless and gave up his teenage life dreams to raise Ollie with zero regrets!!! I really wish Jacob was a harsher with her even, but no, he was willing to sacrifice his happiness for hers. She should have known (or someone should have flat out told her) the moment she woke up her teenage life goals would need to change. She not only lost 7 years but she has a son! She fought everything and everyone rather than accept what her new reality is and embrace it. It may not have been the life she dreamt of growing up but I don't think most of us are living the life we dreamt of when we were teens. We see our new reality and for better or worse, go with it. While this may not be my favorite Whisper Springs book, I 100% respect the author's story for Jacob and Izzy. I can't wait for the next book to come out!

Love Jacob so much!
