Publisher's summary

Listen to the first three books in the medieval time travel romance series listeners call addictive: A Knight to Remember, Knight Moves, and Lonely Is the Knight.

Book 1: A Knight to Remember
Be careful what you wish for....

Lucy Merriweather's supposedly perfect boyfriend attempted to murder her during a visit to Blackford Castle. Falling through time to 1300s medieval England, she lands in a tangled heap at the feet of a tarnished, grumpy knight with secrets of his own and no time to spare for a crazy damsel in distress.

Book 2: Knight Moves
Melinda Merriweather's sister vanished on a trip to England. When someone tries to kill Melinda Merriweather, she knows there's more to the story of her missing sister. Determined to find out what happened, Melinda lands in England, only to get more than she bargained for. A picture she can't explain. A wrong turn leading to Falconburgh Castle and a whopper of a storm.

Falling through time to 1300s medieval England, she finds herself staring at the pointy end of a wicked-looking sword. A weary knight swoops in and rescues Melinda, only to find out she's no swooning damsel in distress. Now Melinda's greatest fear is falling in love and never finding out what happened to her sister.

Book 3: Lonely Is the Knight
Charlotte Merriweather didn't plan to steal the gorgeous low-slung sports car. But in her defense it was just sitting there running, with the door open, beckoning her. A terrible accident sends her traveling through time to 1330 England. Surely the handsome knight of the castle will aid her in the search to find her missing sisters?

Henry Thornton has sworn never to marry. Even if he is enchanted by the odd woman he finds washed up on the shore. He'll aid her and send the lady on her way. Or not. As the castle falls under siege, trapping Charlotte and Henry within the stone walls, will they risk everything for a chance at a love meant to last forever?

Good story

I enjoyed the three stories. It made a cohesive set. The narrator made the story drag. I guess I’ve been spoiled by other narrators.

narration.....

I want to finish the series but the narration is so poor I am struggling. It's a bit painful....especially when she does male voices, and they all sound the same which is annoyingly arrogant, pompous and evil. Even the ones who are clearly not evil......I feel badly for authors who have bad narration on an audio book because it's hard to not judge the story by the delivery

Great story, no sex

Just warning anyone expecting it. Wish the author felt differently, but oh well. Maybe it will make me less shallow.

Quick Listen

This series was a good story line. I have read many of the time travel books and have determined that the narrator(s) are what really make the book. The must be able to imitate the dialect. This series was lacking in that department.

Cute Stories

The stories were sweet period romances.
The narrator did fine with the straight up American English portions of the narrative. Once the accents were required, I contemplated turning the book off. The three sisters sounded alike, and though one spent more than twenty years in medieval England, she still sounded like a silly poorly educated girl from the American south.... Not at all realistic. The men’s accents, if Scott’s or Irish were mixed up with each other, as well as with Cockney English from 500 years later in London’s East End. The Gypsies’ accents, which one may expect to be Central or Eastern European, faded into multiple accents in the course of one sentence, predominantly Russian. Ouch.
If accents are not someone’s forte, either don’t hire them for that particular job or encourage them to speak very general English with subtle shades of an accent if required.

Pretty silly

Pros: clean
I especially love medevil time and time travel

Cons: narrator lacked the ability to do accents as well as give the characters some distinction between them. They pretty much sounded the same. Main hero, William was one of the most annoyingly drone voice.

Story line was ridiculous (spoiler alert) Lucy marries the bad guy Simeon because he tricks her into “faking“ a wedding to amuse him. Really!!!!! How stupid are you.

Lucy is considered brave because she doesn’t cry....well okay.

Lucy is able to cook miraculously with little to no ingredients in medevil time on medevil cookware. Ha!!!!!

Finishing this story, the hero William is gagged and tied and yet miraculously he is able to talk and rescue Lucy.

Sigh I can’t listen to book 2 or 3.

Sweet Time Travel Romance

It is rare to find a "clean" romance and this one delivers without all the lurid and evocative scenes. Glad to have found this series!

Merriweather Sisters box set books 1-3

I had been a while since I had listened to book 1 in the series, so i listened all over again. What a great series! These books are so entertaining. Lucy is the middle sister and the first to travel back in time. After she is presumed dead in the future with her "husband" . Lucky for Lucy he really is dead, but as much as she wishes to return home she just can't leave the love of her life.
Melinda is the second one to travel. She just knows something is off and her sister is not dead. When she finally finds her sister and her true love she decides to stay as well.
Charlotte is not on board with any of this, that is until Melinda goes missing. She is the most free spirited of the three sisters. She actually prepares for this by learning how to fight and different things about the time to prepare herself for the adventure of finding her sisters.
The narration is fantastic, Kristina Blackstone does an amazing job with the accents and was such a pleasure to listen to.

The reader’s voice ugh!

The story is fair except for the heroine being a pathetic creature passing out and puking everywhere. then there is the person reading. She is ok with plain American English but, the southern accent and the pompous English accent are so bad I only made it to the third chapter.

Great story no sex

It was great listening to a book that didn’t have a lot of sex in it. You actually have a storyline. It was real pleasing..
