Majestic Cove 3-Book Set Earns 5/5 Tri-PI Cases...Engaging Fun!

Meredith Potts has penned a well-written and entertaining series starring thirty-something Melody Clue, suitably employed as a private detective, with mentor and partner Lisa Williamson. She is often hired to substantiate or dismiss claims of infidelity by spouses or significant others, but she’s also been ensnared in a few murder investigations. Although Melody could have easily turned hard on romance with a cheating ex-husband in her past, but she’s enjoying a health relationship with boyfriend Scott Webster who just happens to be a police detective which she finds comes in handy. In “Dessert, Destiny, and Death,” Melody’s efforts as a PI are usually to help her clients resolve their suspicions, but now, she’s using her skills to protect herself. In “Treats, Threats, and Tawdry Truths,” Melody thinks ominous threats to be her only problem, then a suicide turns to murder. In “Private Eye and a Craving for Pie,” infidelity cases come in all shapes and sizes reminding Melody to never take things for granted. Fun and entertaining, and enriched by Stephen Quinn’s pleasant first-person narration from Melody’s perspective. Most of the story is written as a narrative, but when dialogue is used, Stephanie does well performing various voices through tone, and portraying different personalities along with age and gender. Enjoyable reads...or should I say “listens.”

This book consists of; Dessert, Destiny, and Death; Treats, Threats, and Tawdry Truths; and Private Eye and a Craving for Pie. Dessert, Destiny, and Death (Melody Clue Cozy Mystery Book One) was a great read by Meredith Potts. Melody Clue finds her life threatened by someone she doesn't know. She is a private investigator and this is a nightmare for her. She is now constantly looking over her shoulder. Melody decides to use her skill as an investigator to find out who has anonymously threatened her life. Treats, Threats, and Tawdry Truths was a good read by Meredith Potts. Melody Clue never thought her life would be put in jeopardy the way it is even being a private investigator. She received a threatening letter in the mail, and then got a menacing phone call. A rock was then thrown at her door. Melody has to find out who is after her and why. Private Eye and a Craving for Pie was a good read by Meredith Potts. As a private investigator, Melody Clue still has some cases that leave her speechless. This latest case is no different. I enjoyed these books and can't wait to read more by the author.

Love reading these short stories, while doing a hobby, the story continues and yet it is light hearted and full of your favorite characters. The narration is very good.

For Melody as a Pi she is use to solving, not being one. A delightful comedy on a twist of the life of a PI when she is victim, having threats. Love the narration by Stephanie she always adds to the characters and stories. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
