Makl is looking to become the greatest mercenary the universe has known. In true family tradition, he leaves a trail of mayhem and bodies wherever he goes, steals the most priceless of items, ravishes females left and right. But that all ends the day he comes across the biggest prize of all – a human barbarian.

Fooled into thinking her a priceless virgin and captivated by her pale skinned, two-breasted frame, he abducts her, or at least means to. His plan goes somewhat awry. The not-so-innocent human becomes his partner in crime instead of his prisoner, and together they form an unstoppable duo. Tales of their misdeeds and budding passion become a universal sensation, but there's no room in a mercenary's life for a mate. Or is there?

For the first time in his life, the Mercenary's Guide to Prosperity doesn't have an answer to Makl's questions, and there's no visible threat for him to kill. What's a poor, purple mercenary to do? Admit he's in love – or ditch the delectable human?

I enjoyed this story...for the most part. The male narration needed some work. I truly wonder if all women sound like female muppet characters to him because that's what he made them all sound like when he portrayed them. I had no problem with his male character voices or the reading of them but cringed every time he'd switch voice genders. The female narrator was very good, she did an excellent job with the story line and had no problem voicing either gender. The story itself, I thoroughly enjoyed. I'm looking forward to hearing the next book in the series. Although if it's the same male narrator.....I may bypass the audible version and go with the book version instead.

Good story, decent narration..for the most part.

I loved the banter, action and steamy scenes. The story line kept me excited and laughing. The character development in a short story like this was great. I wish it could have been longer but I guess I would say that about any book with a interesting storyline. Overall a good listen

Enjoyed

so much better than her first book in this series. I like the twist with Oliva, and how they become dependent on each other. I wish her books were longer with more depth, but for a rainy day romance this hits all the right spots.

Great book to read

Liked the 2 previous books better than this one. Seems the women have a common theme which was cute at first, but now it’s getting old. Still had moments that were hilarious.
