Ja, es handelte sich, wie gesagt, um einen katholischen Kindergarten. Der Kindergarten wurde von Nonnen betreut. Die "Chefin" dieser, man muss es schon so nennen, "Anstalt", also die Obernonne, hieß "Schwester Maria-Levine"!
Auch nach sechzig und mehr Jahren werde ich diesen Namen niemals vergessen können!
Schon allein deswegen nicht, weil Maria-Levine das Schlagen als das alleinige und geeignete Mittel für die Züchtigung der jungen, unschuldigen Geschöpfe Gottes ansah. Und hiervon machte sie bei uns Kindern auch reichlich Gebrauch. Und das gleich mehrmals täglich!
Diese Erlebnisse haben sich in meiner Erinnerung förmlich eingebrannt.
