Publisher's summary

"Just because you're the boss does not mean you can just treat me however you want!"

With those words, Andy Peterson made an enemy out of William Maxwell, a billionaire who is the epitome of leading men in romance stories for many - ridiculously enough. If it were up to her, she wouldn't have to deal with him at all. Unfortunately, he is one of the most powerful men in the city, which means he can crush her like a bug if he wants to. And just when things are about to take a turn for the worse, she gets help from the most unlikely source. Alexandra Maxwell, William's older sister, was so impressed with her feistiness and seeming immunity to billionaire douche's charms that she hired Andy as an assistant. Although the job seems too good to pass up, the problem is she would have to work with that SOB.

Will Mr. Mogul continue to make her life a living hell? Or will their explosive chemistry lead to something else entirely? If you loved Arrogant Master and Not You, Its Me , this romantic comedy novel, including a wager, two hard-headed enemies, and a meddling sister will surely rock your boat!

Sweet build up

I love a good enemies to lovers. The moment when two enemies finally give in to the sexual tension is so hot. Unfortunately I never got that feeling from this story.

I still enjoyed the story, but it felt a little drawn out for me. I guess because the story doesn’t end in this book, it leaves me feeling a bit let down. I kept waiting for the HEA and the story to wrap up but it didn’t come.

Like I said, it’s still a good story. Just keep in mind that you need to keep going in the series to get the “complete” feeling. I’ll keep my eye out for #2.

listening to this narrative voice is like a chalk in blackboard. The heroine character was an annoying
obnoxious bitch..couldn't finished the but book. Between the obnoxious voices and the childish narrative...every charter was the same she goes to sleep wakes up with a headache..she picks fight with main character...what a waste of time..I really couldn't finish it...the narrative was bad the author was horrible...

Meh

I had major issues with the characters. While what William and Alexandra did was awful, I never understood how Andy could forgive her before William. Alexandra completely manipulated them both. Andy was simply annoying from the 2nd chapter to the end of the book. Terry was my favorite character.

A great book if you have trouble falling asleep

What disappointed you about Meeting Mr. Mogul?

The story had promise, but its execution was terribly lacking. It would have greatly benefitted from the assistance of a professional editor. It left me with the impression that it was written by a high school girl who takes AP English classes.

What could Mel Ryle have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Reached out to a professional editor? Cut it down, tightened it up, and be a little less trite/predictable.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Her "Alexandra" was great, as was her "Jack"; the rest were sort of monotonous, and Andy was very unlikable (although that might have more to do with the writing).

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Meeting Mr. Mogul?

So very many.
