Diet for Beginners,Healthy food,Best recipes!!!!!

I love this book!! I recently had a heart attack and was told to go on a Mediterranean diet. I felt like there was no way I could change all of my eating habits and maintain my sanity. And never thought I would think a heart healthy lifestyle would be so tasty! I have been so pleased and feel so good about my eating now that I purchased one for my dad for father's day. It is for him and mom both since he does most of the cooking! :)Recomended,the best book in my live!Every day try new recipe!!

Healthy recipes and very helpful

Buy the spiral bound and use it as an instruction manual for cooking. I bought this book last year. I hate cooking and only cook about 1X a week. I've liked every recipe that I've tried out of it. It also has great cooking tips for people like me who hate cooking and don't know how long to grill vegetables, etc. The book doesn't assume that you know what you're doing, it give you tips and stuff. There are nice pictures and variations for almost every recipe. If you are looking for ANY type of Mediterranean cookbook, then this book is a MUST for you. This is a nice book with lots of recipes. Love!

Mediterranean Diet

Great! Don’t waste a second trying to decide – get this amazing Mediterranean cookbook and get used to these ideas as soon as it is possible. Loads of tasty and simple recipes that mostly have no more than six ingredients. Any home cook who's interested in this tyype of diet should be able to find the ideas in here he or she will like in this cookbook. I’m sure it will be one of my favorites - theer are many ideas in here I've never seen anywhere before. Well done!

Yes it is easy and yummy :)

Well done first of all! This is an excellent cookbook. Most of the recipes are easy to prepare and very tasty. I especially liked the fish and seafood recipes. There are a lot of pasta dishes which if, for people like me, you cannot eat freely, you can still enjoy all these dishes by using alternative noodles. I especially liked the first chapter which spells out how to put the meals together. I want to say thank you !

Mediterranean Diet for Beginners is LOVELY

Great book is here! Cool! I chose this Complete Mediterranean Cookbook and am very pleased. The 500 recipes are easy to follow and I feel suit the American cook. It will be my go-to cookbook going forward. If you are looking for authentic ingredients and recipes, particularly for seafood, I think authors cookbook is superior and I will likely add it to my collection soon. Nice one!

WELL WRITTEN Mediterranean Diet!

That book means a lot for me! Even if you don’t have the wish to follow Mediterranean diet, you should get this cookbook. Gret! Directions are flexible, so you can adapt them to fit the dietary needs and the plans you currently have. You may need to connect the dots and get through Mediterranean specificities in some cases but most recipes are straightforward, they never need too much time to prepare them and need very little time to be cooked. Best of the best! I like that!

Not just another recipe book! Just the best

Great great great book! This is a very practical, very easy to follow book with great photos and recipes with all the ingredients very clearly marked. I loved it and am looking forward to making several of the recipes that I read about. It also gives a good explanation of what the Mediterranean Diet is and why it is good for you. I loved it and I recommend it to anyone who is looking to eat healthier.

Wonderful

As a beginner I’ve found this cookbook pretty amazing, useful and well written. Here I got tons of delicious, easy and healthy recipes. If you’re currently following low carbohydrate diet plan, then all these recipes will be so perfect for you I can bet you. I loved most of these recipes, and already tried few of them. All goes well on my side and I’m very happy with that. Author has done a great job and organized all these recipes chapter wise. I’m looking forward to use this cookbook further more for making more delicious meals.

NIICIE! Wish I had had a book like this when I was a new cook--so many details about the food, the recipes, and preparation tips. Look for nutritional values in the back of the book--all listed by recipe name. This complements my new interest in Mediterranean cooking in a major way--very informative, with great recipes. Lovely Mediterranean Diet! Thanks

Fantastic! Great to read! Faithfully following the recipes has opened my world to an entirely new set of flavors. If this is what mediterranean foods really taste like, then I have never tasted mediterranean foods before, in thirty years of visiting restaurants. The food is delicious, and branches far beyond the "meat and potatoes" style of cooking, where any vegetable or bean is always a boring side dish. Like this book! Nice one!

Easy to find ingredients

My family absolutely loves this cookbook! The recipes are easy to follow, the layout is the perfect balance of information and pictures, and bets of all, the ingredients are easy to find where we live. Everything we've tried so far (about 40 recipes) has been delicious. The only thing we haven't enjoyed was a cucumber soup that is served chilled, but I think that was because of a preference for hot soups. I'd definitely recommend this cookbook to anyone wanting to enjoy the health benefits of mediterranean food.

Mediterranean Diet Cookbook so heart friendly.

My husband had heart surgery and cardiologist recommended a Mediterranean Diet.This had high reviews on show so I ordered it. I have used many recipes and gained knowledge of the Mediterranean Diet and reasons why this is so healthy for our hearts.

This looks like an excellent and easy cookbook

I perused the recipes and they seem simple and straightforward so that anyone could do them. I am trying to lose 7-10 pounds and this "diet" or lifestyle consistently gets top ratings from everyone. I do use portion control containers so I'm not sure how this will work in relation to these foods but I believe that if I can keep these meals to a small plated serving that this should be sufficient to lose weight. And I know that healthy fats within the Mediterranean Food Pyramid help promote weight loss.

Fantastic book, delicious recipes

We love this cook book! Colorful, easy to follow instructions, love the "why this recipe works" piece for each recipe. Every recipe we have tried so far has been amazing - yes, the recipes take a bit more time to put together, but totally worth it! Highly recommend (and bonus, my husband and I have both lost weight using this book!)

Great Cookbook!

I have not tried a single recipe that I did not like. I have to admit that I skipped some as I did not like all the ingredients. I use this daily, and have discovered a new and healthier way to eat! I would definitely recommend this cookbood to anyone who likes to cook and try new recipes. Having the nutritional breakdown of each recipe was a great added bonus as I am trying to eat healthier.

Great book for eating the healthy Mediterranean

Very extensive variety of recipes. Each one detailed with not only with the "how" but also the "why". Covers salads, entree's, desserts and more. Great glossary of terms found in the back. A great addition to our kitchen as my wife and I try to eat healthier.

Beautiful and informative, but recipes appeal

This is a really good cookbook. I have lost 25 pounds simply from changing what I eat and I use this cookbook to develop my daily menus. I can find most all ingredients in my small SE Idaho town. What makes it even better is that many of the recipes are gluten free, a benefit since my grandson has disease and is gluten intolerant. What kept my rating at 4 stars is the glue in the cookbook let loose after about 8 months and all the pages are now loose. But I still use the cookbook.

Every recipe is great

Every recipe is good in this book. If you make something from this book, you and everyone you serve will rave. I also subscribe to the ATK/Cooks Illustrated website and some of the recipes are on there, but with variations, as well as comments from readers that I often find helpful. I have given this book as a gift to people who like to cook, including my kids.

Great recipes, use this book weekly!

I had found this cookbook at my library, and after having it for two weeks, I decided it was worth the buy! I have tried at least 8 recipe is from this cookbook, and have not been disappointed yet. Not only are the recipes good, but the book is very informative, with additional information on how to choose produce, tips on preparing produce easier, etc. I feel like cooks of all levels could benefit from this book!

Useful for Special Occasions.

The title is an exaggeration. A more fitting title would be: "The Guide to Expensive, Complex Mediterranean Style Cooking". My wife (a great, experienced cook, and caterer with shelves of cookbooks) says most of the recipies would require too long to prepare to be practicle and are more costly than middle income families could frequently afford.
