Learn what to do with your life's manure
I got this because I finished reading Shambhala way of the spiritual warrior and I immediately needed more. There is something so grounded about his writing. Spiritual writers are usually half way up their own butts at the very least. Chogyam's instructions are based in Eastern Philosophy but they feel more based in Human philosophy.
Turns out Chogyam was also a super controversial which I love (give his wiki a read). But that makes me like him more.

A really good read on introduction to Buddhism
I don't know how I was not aware of this book for so long (considering that the original edition came out at a similar time to "Zen mind, Beginners mind"). A really good read on meditation and an introduction to Buddhism.
