Ray Storey plays the role of Kit Carson in Col. A. J. Mahaffey's Authentic Medicine Show, wearing a fringed outfit and doing trick shooting to help the colonel push his Miracle Oil and Indian Vitality Pills. Storey's using his job with the show to travel around the country to look for the men who killed his parents, and of course there's a showdown in the end. Also accompanying the show are an alcoholic doctor and the colonel's daughter, who plays the Indian Maiden known as Banuj Ta-Ta.

I really enjoyed it! This book was full of action, drama and suspense! The narration was great and kept me entertained! The author did a great job with the character builds and plot.
This was my first book from this author but definitely not my last! I look forward to reading more of his books!

Ray joins a medicine show . He's on a revenge hunt for the men that killed his parents. He is in disquise and it gives him a reason to go from town to town. There is some funny things happen. The medicine show is a cover to sell fake medicine and other things. I stayed interested from start to finish. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a review. Having read the author mysteries, this was different. The narration was good, bringing out the lawlessness. in the town, with humor. How brothers thought they were the law, till someone finally decided to stop them. Given audio for my voluntary review

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. I liked this story because the narrator made the humor come out amidst the terrible details. I liked that the hero was not perfect and that the preacher and his wife came together in the end. Those awful brothers terrorized that town until someone got some backbone. A good story overall.
