First book from this author and I was pleasantly surprised. Aurea ran away from her foster family after abuse. She also left her young love, Prentice, to go to California and seek stardom. Needless to say, Cali was a world wind of abuse, homelessness, prostitution, and friendship. Fortunately she rekindles her friendship with Prentice after going home for a funeral. Thru a few ups and downs, they find their spark again!!

When I tell you I appreciate a well written book. This book flowed so smoothly I'm so glad Auria handled her business, I love me some Prentice and Prima. this has become one of my favorite books. I passed it several times I'm glad i took the ttime to listen to it will listen to it again. go ahead and listen u won't be disappointed!!🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️

The book was really good. I enjoyed the characters. However, it became hard to listen after awhile. The gentleman that read as Prentice sounded like a second grader just learning to read full paragraphs. He sounded very choppy. Although he did have a nice voice.
