Outdated - but still a good story
Yes, it’s outdated. Yes it shows what, now, would be unthinkable behavior toward women. However, be cognizant of when it was written and enjoy the story for what it is, good fiction.

Yes a bit outdated BUT
The action and adventure and marine knowledge is what I enjoy. I read the book back in the 1970’s. I’m so glad these have been added to the Audible app. Scott Brick is an amazing narrator!! You always know who is speaking. Looking forward to use my next credits on the sequel.

GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!
Reading the Dirk Pitt series in sequence is great! Moreover, returning to early Cussler writings gives the reader a wonderful understanding of what made him famous. Much of these works shows not only his development as an author, but some of his best work, I think! Scott Brick is one of my favorite readers, as well.

The history & knowledge really helps make a realistic book.
Great action packed book but needs to cut out the smoking but it was written in 1972 a different time
