This is a SICKLY AND SAD VERY DARK BOOK.

I absolutely LOVE Dark ROMANCE*** novels.
but man this one was tuff!!
It was hard to listen to.
I usually really enjoy my Dark romance books but this book not easy at all to listen to. I didn't find any satisfaction in this book. It was practically all rape.
And the victim and she most definitely is a victim had absolutely zero back bone fight in her or smarts. She was extremely naive and didn't seem to have much sense at all.
I find it very hard to believe that any woman being treated like this would be as compliant forgiving and dumb in this very difficult sad and horrific situation.
Its horribly scary to think there are actual men and woman out there that are this cruel.
I would how ever recommend this book so that people could have some idea of what it's like for woman to be bought into slavery.
This book made sick to my stomach because it was more realistic than many of the darker romance books I've listened to on audible.
I did look for a Dark Romance and boy did I find it.
THIS BOOK IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART OR THE WEAK.
BEWARE. IF YOU GET OFFENDED OF HEARONG ABOUT THW TRUTH OF PUR CRUEL WORLD THEN DON'T JUDGE IF YOU DECIDE TO READ OR LISTEN TO THIS BOOK.

Dark but steamy.....

Would you listen to Matteo: Dark Erotic Mob Romance again? Why?

Yes,I would definitely listen to it again because although it is very dark it was very well written.

What did you like best about this story?

The scenes were very well played out and it was great to see sexscenes so well thought out.

What does Rose DeMarco bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She brings it to life makes it real if I were just reading it myself Ithink I would have a hard time bringing it to life in the manner she did.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I think the book as a whole sparked something within me because we as humans have a desire to please someone but its all in to what extent do we want to please them ans how far we are willing to go to do so and how much trust we have in that person to open our minds and surrender our bodies to them and give them our complete submission.

I just don't know what to say...definitely dark and twisted..lots of sex. Not for everyone.

This book is really dark! I like dark books but this one... I loved the intense darkness but IF you are sensitive...stay far far away..

Tough Read - Adult read

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Only to people who have tough skin and can handle a straight hard read. Unfortunately there are many people in the world that have lived through or is living this kind of like.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The main female character had a hard life from the time she was born to her current situation. To the point where it is hard for a "normal" person to understand the depth of the mind manipulation that was instilled in her from the time she could comprehend as a human. Thus not knowing any other way than what she was taught.

BRUTAL

this was an awareness and eye opening book.
there are some steamy sex scenes, however, they are to be described as rape nothing more. this is not a romance and there is nothing sweet about this book. the only kind gesture was given in the last chapter. the book may be fictional, however, it portrayed a more real life like picture of what a mafia prince and a purchased slave relationship would actually look like. i recommend going in with little emotion when listening to this audiobook. the reason for not receiving 5 stars is i felt the narrator fell slightly flat and the ending was a bit odd.

I was gifted this audio. All I can say is some will like some will not. but over all I enjoyed it all love an HEA

Probably the darkest book I've heard so far. That was intense!! Beware to sensitive people!

Waste

I like dark, Mafia type romances but I'm not into child voices.
If the author would have taken the time to match the narrator's voice to the theme of the story, it may have turned out better.
I tried to get involved with the story but it was hard to tell sometimes who was talking. The rest of the time it was like listening to a 7 year old girl talking.
Not worth the headache I ended up with and in no way worthy of a credit.
It's a shame because according to the description it seemed like it had good possibilities. Also the sample of the book does not sound like the same narrator's voice used in most of the book. I might send this back.
