He’s the town hero everyone admires. She’s the one person who sees past the image.
Sam Wolf has it all—respect, success, and a reputation as the high school’s golden coach. Two winning seasons have made him untouchable in Misty Mountain… until the school assigns him something completely outside his comfort zone: teaching art.
A subject that used to belong to Lauralie Kimball.
Lauralie isn’t sure what to make of Coach Wolf stepping into her world. Art isn’t football. It isn’t structured or predictable—and neither is she. But when Sam asks for her help, she agrees.
Strictly professional.
At least, that’s the plan.
Because the more time they spend together, the harder it becomes to ignore what’s building between them. The quiet conversations. The unexpected understanding. The way he looks at her like she sees something no one else does.
And maybe she does.
But letting Lauralie in means risking everything Sam has carefully kept hidden. The pressure. The doubt. The truth behind the town hero everyone thinks they know.
The question is… what happens when the one person who sees the real him is the one he can’t afford to lose?
