The metaphors in this book are used so well.

The metaphors in this book are used so well, some are the obvious points we know and need to be reminded me from time to time if you've read books of similar nature, but its not just noticing the thorns, and realizing they are controlling you and you are not actually controlling them, but instead freeing yourself from these thorns was what i found most inspiring.

A better starting point for self-discovery.

The notion of 'manifesting' certain outcomes or situations pervades many books. Singer's key observation is that actually we are each present in situations where we actually have nothing to do with what is going on, and acceptance of this is a better starting point for self-discovery.

This book has profoundly changed my life.

This book has profoundly changed my life with these teachings using simple story-telling and analogies. It may at point seem a bit heady but push through it will be worth it and in my opinion the easiest listen of any spiritual/mindful whatever you want to call it type of book.

Just don't expect any hardcore science.

In a way, I think of this book as an accessible and digested introduction to the practical aspects of Buddhism without the religious aspect of it. Just don't expect any hardcore science.

Very simple and easy to digest.

The ideas of this book are very simple and easy to digest. Yet, the ideas resonated with me. They remind me a lot about Buddhism and meditation. Things like retained bad energy (karma), our endlessly-chatting inner voice, living in the moment, and ego.

You will want to listen it through.

You will want to listen it through and then go back as use each chapter as a study guide. If your are under stress an want to calm all those crazy wild thoughts that attack you an ya want to calm that voice inside you that drives ya nuts this will help to teach it to calm.

Every chapter was so amazing,
