Incredible and beautiful

This was a delightful mix of Beauty and the Beast, and the Greek myth of the Minotaur. I loved the descriptions of the guarded labyrinth (of bookcases, but still…) and of the growing relationship between the 2 main characters! The way the two stories were woven together was intricate, and highlighted the incredible story from start to finish! I also loved the happy ending!

Now I have to buy the Hard Back! So good!!

I just finished reading Callie Thomas’ Forest of Stolen Memories (I swooned over Cedrick!) and was going to read her next book in the series but this book just came out on audible and I was too curious not to give it a listen. I’m so glad I did! I loved this book! I listened to it in a day (while cleaning the house… win win I’d say!)! The narrator doing the voices was absolutely perfect. Very talented. I was absolutely swept away into another world! I loved the romance, the touch of magic throughout, and the mystery of that darn mask. It reminded me of a mix of Phantom of the Opera meets Jekyll and Hyde but with better romance. Please Callie get more of your books in audio version! What a great way to experience your book… but I will be getting the Hard back too (to add to my collection of your books!).

captivating plot and devoted main characters that are swoon worthy together. the little details that are written to show the emotional range of the characters through their imprisonment and development was enthralling to be a part of while listening.

I don’t usually do reviews, but I felt compelled to do this one. All I have to say is that this is the best story I’ve read in years. The narrator was amazing. She brought so much more excellence to an already amazing book. Just read it!
