November 1888 geschahen fünf brutale Frauenmorde, die alle dem Serienkiller Jack the Ripper zugeschrieben werden. Am Vormittag des 9. November 1888 fand man die entsetzlich zugerichtete Leiche einer Frau namens Mary Jane Kelly in einem Zimmer an der Dorset Street. Diese historischen Ereignisse betteten wir in die Rahmenhandlung unserer Hörspielserie „Sherlock Holmes: Legends“ ein. - Der Fall um Hall Pycroft und die Anglo-französische Aktionengesellschaft für Eisen- und Stahlwaren geht auf Arthur Conan Doyles Kurzgeschichte „The Stockbroker's Clerk“ zurück. Sie erschien laut sherlockholmes.fandom.com erstmals im März 1893 im „Strand Magazine“ und wurde ein Jahr später mit zehn anderen Fällen im Buch „The Momoirs of Sherlock Holmes“ („Die Memoiren des Sherlock Holmes“) veröffentlicht.
