Inspire good story. Gives you a good picture of what the persecution of Christians in Rome looked like.

This book brings back the big question: what am I going to do if or when I am called to become a martyr for the Lord?

Wow, it took me there! Ancient Rome with iron fisted emperors, slaughtering of innocents, pagan influence. Amazed at the testimony of these courageous Christians! God forgive me for my lukewarm faith. Thank you, for loving us I anticipate the need for steadfast faith & courageous acts of faith in the soon coming days. Inspiring book!

I pray to have the fraction of their convictions and perseverance for the Lord who loved me to death and rose again to come back in glory.

What a treasure this ancient account is! My heart filled with joy at Marcellus’s conversion. May we as American Christians face threat of persecution with the same unwavering steadfastness to our Savior!
