Publisher's summary
Harriet Sansom Harris Hacks, Desperate Housewives and Zehra Fazal How to Get Away with Murder, Lucifer give truly chilling performances in Aditi Brennan Kapil’s haunting Marrow.
Aspiring audio producer Harriet (Fazal) gets the career boost of a lifetime: the chance to interview internationally famous thriller writer Lili Novak, who has agreed to give a masterclass about her creative process. The dream gig takes a dark turn, however, as Lili immediately dives into an eerie recount of her childhood. In stories about the dangerous tenement she grew up in, Lili reveals the friendships she formed and the disturbing experiences they all endured together—some of which still haunt her.
Captivated by the tales and obsessed with the prospect of being the one to tell Lili's story to the rest of the world, Harriet ignores the red flags signaling the novelist may not be in her right mind...or that something even more sinister is happening.
Created by Aditi Brennan Kapil and unfolding over six episodes, Marrow is a harrowing psychological thriller that asks: Is anyone ever really who they say they are? As Lili’s tale unearths winding paths of trauma, lies, and deceit, to a shocking revelation, Harriet’s dream will be completely—and irrevocably—shattered.
Aditi Brennan Kapil was awarded a commission through the Audible Emerging Playwrights Fund, an initiative dedicated to developing innovative original plays driven by language and voice. As an Audible-commissioned playwright, she received funding and creative support to develop Marrow.

I was initially confused..
* This book is interview/documentary style, but be patient with it. it's worth the wait. *
I kind of dove into this completely blind, and telling you I was blindsided by how this story went is an understatement. it's eerie, suspenseful, and all around a wonderful psychological thriller. it keeps you guessing who did what, who was who, and what actually happened. you get piece by piece, and the writer executed the ending by tying up all those loose ends - but not until the very end. the ending had my jaw drop & honestly amazed me with how something so short could encompass my brain and wrap me in its world, its details, and its tragedies. the emotions and tones in the readers' voices painted clear pictures of how their facial expression would be. I would recommend this to anyone who likes/loves psychological thrillers.

Emotional roller coaster of a ghost story!
Maybe my age brings some sentimental emotions 🤔 but I ran a gambit with this story, both laughing and crying and never sure where the story was actually leading me. That being said, overall, it is definantly worth the time to listen to. Great performance by both the author producers and voice characters. Bravo to all who brought this forth to make a great performance.

Deep character driven haunting story
This is very touchingly performed. All the new writer audibles have been good audioscapes. This was understated in line with the themes and worked very well. The slower middle bit worked for me as layers of meaning unfolded and gripped me into the mind of the characters.

One of the best Audible productions ever.
I was hooked from the start and binge listened to it until the end. Wonderful writing and perfect performances.
The story is gripping and despite the painful subject matter it is delicately poised on the line between exactly right and too much.
Each character is so well developed that by the end I felt as if I had met them and known them personally.
Haunting is the word I think fits best here.

A masterpiece
To me, this story is a few levels above most of the other productions I listened to on audible. It left a real impact on me, and I feel like I will be listening to it a few times over, in order to savior it.
The story is incredible, both in structure and content. The language is poetic in a true sense. It is not encumbered by pompous words or unnecessarily long sentences. Yet, it paints a world you can easily imagine and feel. The real talent has written it. Not a single sentence is wasted, and the road through mystery is very addicting.
The performance is masterful too. The voices are just perfect for the characters,

And So We Walked is a frank, heartwarming, and inspiring story about a contemporary Cherokee woman and her father who embark on an incredible 900-mile journey along the Trail of Tears to truly understand her own identity and the conflicts of her nation. The play recounts the six-week journey, which retraced the path her great-great-grandparents took in the 1830s during the forced relocation of 17,000 Cherokee from their homelands.

The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

The 13 chapters of The Art of War, each devoted to one aspect of warfare, were compiled by the high-ranking Chinese military general, strategist, and philosopher Sun-Tzu. In spite of its battlefield specificity, The Art of War has found new life in the modern age, with leaders in fields as wide and far-reaching as world politics, human psychology, and corporate strategy finding valuable insight in its timeworn words.

Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.
