Publisher's summary

The New York Times best seller and the Audie Award winner.

THIRTY DAYS.

That’s all Adam Steinbeck demands of his wife.

Thirty days in a remote cottage, doing everything he demands, then he’ll sign her divorce papers, give her his half of their company, and walk away.

He has 30 days to rediscover the man he once was. The Dominant Master he hid when he fell in love with the woman who would leave him five years later.

Diana wants the company they built badly enough to go to the cottage with him.

She’ll give him her body, but her heart will never yield.

She thinks this is his pathetic attempt to repair their marriage.

She’s wrong.

I like it

1st off, this story was dumb! I could listen to all Sebastian narrated books... butl this one was hard to listen to. Mean, ridiculously degrading to women story.
The ending was the stupidest thing I've ever listed too. Read book 2... I DON'T THINK SO!
OK..... I have too!

Blew me away

This was one of the best audios I've listened to in the romance genre. The two narrators were superb but not only that, this book is mainly made up of dialogue and instead of being POV narration-driven, dialogue was dual narrated. This enhanced everything about this book.

Adam started out as the wronged, hurt husband, gaining my sympathy quickly despite knowing his past. Let's put it this way, I'm not in his fan club right now, but there's a part of me still rooting for him. I really couldn't quite get the measure of Diana initially and didn't understand her decisions. What progresses between these two is like a runaway train, but they're both convinced they're in control. I enjoyed this story and the characters hugely. I am an anti-Dom/sub fan, so the fact I loved this so much speaks of the author's talent. I am waiting with bated breath for next book and conclusion to this compelling story.

Not quite what I wanted.

While I generally love stories like this one upon reading the synopsis, this one fell a bit short for me. The narration was great and made me feel the storyline yet the storyline itself was the problem for me. I don't know if it was that I have read and listened to so many books related to this topic or that I just couldn't get into this author's writing. I honestly have to say though I will try this one again in the future because the narration was good but that's the only reason.

BLOODY GOOD!

I wasn't too sure how I was going to go with this book. what with it being the first I've read of this author & because of the subject matter. I'm a little iffy on the pain side of BDSM but I am happy to admit that I didn't have an issue with it in this story.
I loved the way the story evolved...it was an interesting take on the experience of a marriage breakdown.
The author was beautifully successful in capturing the essence of feeling or lack thereof, between Adam & Diane & the development of Diana's submissive tendencies played out in realistic & may I say, quite erotically charged scenes.
This is book 1 in a duet & I am looking forward to January 2017 for the followup book.
I highly recommend reading this book & the Audio version is a standout.

WOW

What can I say I have been waiting for this narration for awhile. and WOW. York and Wolfe are my favorite narrators now. I will listen to all their books read in this manner.
The story line was good but the female annoyed me. She really wanted to hurt her husband and I do not know why. Good book Must listen.

Reiss & York are Auto-buys for me.

c.d. reiss is permanently on my auto-buy list and so is sebastian york, listening to marriage games is no brainer!

Marriage Games is told through both Adam and Diana’s POVs, with the first half of the book told from Adam’s POV while the second half switches to Diana’s POV. switching back between Present Tense and Past Tense. Each chapter is labeled as Present Tense, Past Perfect, feeding off the flashback aspect and the literary aspect of the publishing business the couple own and run together.

I love it when an audio book has switching POVs is performed by a male and female narrator. Elena Wolfe voices Diana’s POVs and her dialogue even in Adam’s POV. Sebastian York voices Adam’s POV and his dialogue during Diana’s POVs. At first, it took me a bit to get used to the voices changing in the middle of a conversation since it was clear the narrators did not record the scenes together. Often times the produce quality of the two voices were not the same, with the volume being the most noticeable.

Both Wolfe and York delivered outstanding performances. They nailed capturing all of Adam and Diana’s emotions. I felt the emotions of this couple as I listened to their story. I felt Adam’s heartbreak, Diana’s confusion.

I cannot wait for the second half of their journey. I’ll try to wait patiently for the January release of Separation Games by C.D. Reiss and I will for sure be listening to the audio book format.
