Pretty Good

This is an interesting concept. The world created and the characters are well developed. The pacing is a a bit slow at times, but it doesn't detract from the story. Naqvi does a good job bringing the story to life. I'll get the next book to see how the story develops

Hmmmm

I'm really not sure what to think about this book. It started out interesting but quickly took a turn for the worse. The story became highly sexual for several chapters with an occasional reminder of the plot that I found interesting. I really don't know what to say about it.

Awesome Narrator

This is the first audible book I have from narrator Zehra Jane Naqvi and she has done a spectacular job. Her performance has moved her to my top 2 female list. I liked the story pretty well. There were several times I had to roll my eyes over the main characters thoughts or actions. I am not the hugest fan of love triangles, especially if they go on more than one book. And strong female leads who are frozen with fear or breathless as many times as this MC was. I will get book 2 and see if those things change hopefully. The basis of the book, being a gatekeeper, was very interesting. So I’m looking forward to see if the character strengthens up in the next book after her coming into her new role.

amazing book

loved reading this book cant wait till I finish the rest of the series. I wonder who she will end up with or if she gets to be with them all

A bit boring

I tried to like this book but found I didn’t really care about the main character and gave up. I made it half way. Maybe someday I will finish it. I’m still a big fan of this author. I think the narrator didn’t fit the story. She sounded too sophisticated for a lowly orphan/Assassin.
