Interview with self publishing megastar

British espionage/crime thriller author Mark Dawson is a relatively early one of a growing numbers of authors who self publish rather than going the traditional route. In the past some authors decided to self publish when no publishing house would print their books, but when the first book was successful the author signed up with a publishing house. For example, when Vince Flynn found no publishing house willing to publish Term Limits he self published it. From then on he dealt through a traditional book publisher. That has now changed to the point that new authors tend to stay with self publishing and some well established authors such as JA Konrath, Barry Eisler, and Brett Battles have dropped their publishers to self publish. The advantages to authors includes more control over their intellectual property, lower priced books, and increased per book profits. The disadvantage to authors is that they must do much of the marketing work done by traditional publishers, The advantage to book consumers include a broader selection and lower prices. An advantage to both authors and book consumers is that a relationship is established through the author's marketing efforts.

He is one of the best entertainer writg today

Right now there isn’t a better action author. My favorite series is John Milton. Not one of the series has disappointed. I find that i am waiting for every new one. Move over Lee Child, this hero has a lot more heart on offer!
