Publisher's summary

Shames is back with another madcap tale of love, offbeat intrigue, and murder in the Florida Keys. When Suki Serakis came to Key West, she had one idea in mind and ended up, like most who reside there, doing something completely different. Now she's tired of selling ad space for the second rate newspaper, Island Frigate and being hounded by the Russian immigrant playboy Lazlo Kalyanin.

Then she meets newcomer Aaron Katz, who moved from New York to Florida to run a bed and breakfast and make a nice, simple life. But, the realities of household repairs and Suki's advances are making him rethink his move. Then, Suki misses a date and vanishes, Lazlo is found with his throat cut, and Aaron and the story take off into the mangroves to find love and some truth.

Fun Escape

I am fond of Key West (and not of the T-shirt shops), so I found this book to be a fun escape back to my beloved KWFL. I could picture some of the places the author talked about and that took me back to fond memories. A "deep read" it is not, but a fun escape it is! I finished it in no time at all!
