Publisher's summary

In a world of superheroes, supervillains, mystical portals, and monsters from strange realms, I'd be considered perfectly ordinary, living a normal life in an extraordinary world.

That is until fate intervened.

A simple act alters and enhances me into a stratosphere of unfathomable power. I'll navigate unique powers, cultivate my strength, progress through unusual skills, and become one of a cosmic order of defenders called Mana Storms.

Can I learn and cultivate my power before an ancient evil awakens to consume my world?

5 stars

Another great book by Erik Weir. You will not be disappointed. Also the dual narration really brings the story to life.

Ok

Please put something in synopsis stating that there may be some sexual content. Im no prude but that does factor into my decision on if I purchase a book or not. Typically I don’t and I would not have in this scenario. Not sure why audible doesn’t have a sub category to filter.

Great story!

I was hoping this book was going to be a series.
Dude gets super powers and makes friends with very powerful galactic beings to help save the earth.
Supers LitRPG is one of my favorite genres.
If you like Supers LitRPG with a bit (not much) of spice, then you are going to want to get this book.
I think the negative reviews are from people expecting a classic masterpiece from English lit class.
I give this book 7.5 out of 5 stars.

meh dnf

you know the saying; show me not tell me, well this author insist on doing both and its way to many chapters of telling me the mc is a good guy over and over again. like he thinks his target audience isn't going to catch on unless he holds the readers hand. I did not finish and don't care to finish and will return asap.

so... boring

i gave up on this one. it was dry, slow, and IMO not well written. lots of repeated words and phrases, instantly predictable dialogue, overexplianing on some things and not explaining at all on some critical plot points. the main character was utterly unrelateable. 4 chapters in i finally stopped and found a different audio book to listen to.
