Publisher's summary

He's damaged goods. Sure chaos. Mr. Impossible. So why am I risking it all for one more kiss?

I never knew what hit me. Rex stormed into my little world with two adorable twin boys and no apologies. Bearish. Short-fused. Consuming. Huge. Torturously gorgeous. Leave-your-heart-in-pieces wrong. Did I mention HUGE? He's instant trouble the second he checks into our lodge and my overprotective grandpa hires him. Then I catch him staring with that knowing ache in his eyes. I forget what trouble even means. He also needs a nanny. Sold.

My signature cupcakes aren't the sweetest thing in this small town anymore. Not when his cold shoulder thaws. Not when our nights unravel me. Not when every taste of him overrules the thousand reasons we shouldn't. But tarnished hearts and prowling kisses have limits. The closer we get, the harder he pulls away. Rex won't reveal why he's really here. I can't admit how bad I wish it didn't matter. Of course, the chilling truth always strikes. Without mercy. There's heartbreak written in our stars. Then there's the crazy part of me that believes he's man enough to stand, to fight, to stay. Crazy, I said. Or is it?

Way too long

I wish this book wasn’t so long. They could have cut off at least three or four hours off it. I had to fast forward through most of it. But all in all it was a good romance and had some hot romantic scenes in it.

This was just ok...

The narrators were okay but the story kinda fizzed out for me. It started out strong but sorta fell short towards the end. He is a hunky single father raising twin boys who is on the run. He ends up staying at a cabin/resort which is owned by the female characters grandfather. She is young/virgin and wants him but he is cold and mean. In the beginning he starts out cold, mean, and tough....by the end of the book he is soft, sweet and unattractive to me. Maybe I have bad taste in men...lol. Anywho, I was disappointed. Maybe next time.

OMG Lay off the disgusting Female Body Parts terms

I have to give this 1 star...OMG, why can't these authors (especially females) call them what they are? BREASTS! Stop using derogatory terms for female body parts. Not ALL MEN TALK LIKE THAT! Is that what authors think sells a book? How about less disgusting terms and objectifying women, and more of a storyline! Had potential but language was off-putting.

🌻Not her best effort!🌻

🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Nicole Snow definitely missed the mark, on this book, especially the first half. Magically, the Hero and Heroine developed a connection, even though weeks went by with them not even speaking. It didn’t come across as genuine, at all. It’s really too bad because I really liked the relationship the Hero had with his twin sons. On the other hand, I wanted to smack the Heroine and give her some kind of backbone. The way her Grandfather speaks and treats her is unforgivable.

After the first half, the relationship between the two becomes more believable, but unfortunately, the rest of the plot does not. I know it’s fiction but if I’m not listening to fantasy I prefer a little “likelihood” to the story. The way the Hero solves his problem is stupid; it would never happen. In addition, his final gift to her, which was supposed to be a surprise, just made me shake my head. She would have to been deaf and blind not to know this surprise was in the works.

Oh well, it was an escape package listen, so it didn’t cost me anything. Therefore, if you’re having trouble picking something and can ignore your common sense, this book could probably entertain you for a few hours.

Cute read

This was a sweet single dad story with just enough heat and drama with cute kids to boot.

Rex and Tabby

I love the narrators to this story. Rex and his boys are the sweetest and Tabby with the right amount of Sassy. Throw in some danger and steamy scenes that i have to admit were cheesy from the female narrator, but its
a story to enjoy for a few hours.

What to say…

First: The narrator are decent. The male narrator is the better of the two. Still could of chosen different narrators. Secondly: the story is a good story but it is drawn out ENTIRELY too long. Probably could of done without as much of the monologue as it does get annoying after a bit. Third and most important: don’t count out this author because of one book. She is a phenomenal author however this was not her best work.

Love finds a home

Love, suspense, action, this story has it all. Rex is on the run. What he doesn’t know is his ultimate goal is to find love. Good read.
