De forma bella ,sutil y emotiva sin caer en sentimentalismos, y a la vez realista, narra la historia un amor en medio de la revolución mexicana, tocando temas humanos, relaciones, el crecer, los privilegios de la clase media y alta en contraste con la pobreza y la miseria, el rol de la mujer y sus conquistas, mientras se va entretejiendo en el escenario del cambio de siglo y la revolución.
