*Making My Way* by Damaris Melo-Gyasi is a wonderful book that deeply resonated with me.

I have often said that I was born Seventh-day Adventist, raised Baptist, and married Pentecostal, and somehow all three canceled each other out for me. The legalism I experienced within different Christian denominations often felt stifling. Too frequently, what was presented to me seemed more like man's interpretation of God than the heart of God Himself. The teachings and interpretations I received often appeared disconnected from the love, guidance, and provision that God freely offers to every living being.

Damaris's book is a living example of what it looks like to walk a life rooted in vulnerability, faith, and complete trust in God. If I knew nothing about Christianity or God before reading this book, I can honestly say that afterward, I would want to know Him. As many Christians might say, “I would get saved.”

What I appreciated most was Damaris's courage to stand up to legalism and man-made rules that are often cloaked as God's rules. Through her story, she beautifully demonstrates that a genuine relationship with God is not about control, manipulation, or religious performance—it is about faith, trust, and love.

I especially loved Damaris's story and the powerful example of faith demonstrated by her family. Their relationship with God shines through every page, and Damaris generously shares that testimony with the world. Her book provides countless examples of how God truly does make a way, even when circumstances seem impossible. It encourages readers not to lean on their own understanding but to trust in the provision that is always available when we seek God, know Him, and expect His faithfulness.

This book also inspired me to strengthen my own walk of faith. It reminded me that God's love is real, present, and active in our lives, even when religious institutions sometimes obscure that truth.

In a nutshell, *Making My Way* is a beautiful example of what many religious organizations strive to teach but too often fail to fully convey. It captures what I believe God truly intends for all of us: a life grounded in love, faith, trust, and relationship with Him.

God is love, and that truth is evident throughout this beautifully written book. I absolutely loved *Making My Way* and highly recommend it.
