A tasty novel by Pratchett it is one of the great ones. A Custer pie for you! a BB you! and you!

the reader did a fantastic job with the voices

moist isn't one of my fave characters in the Discworld lore, but this is still a very fun listen

Best narration ever

Without a doubt my absolute favorite narrator ever. Of all the Discworld books, which I discovered in 2022 and have only ever listened to and not read (well, I did read most of Pyramids, but then the new audio version came out so I listened to the rest), my favorites seem to be this particular trilogy of Going Postal, Making Money, and (yet to be listened to at this time) Raising Steam. I also loved Small Gods, and Andy Serkis certainly did great work there, but Richard Coyle just constantly goes above and beyond in an almost distracting way like “damn, how did he produce the insane laugh of Hubert in the recording booth?” Anyway, I’m downloading Raising Steam now and listening as soon as I type this last period.

Terry Pratchett… always a winner

You can’t go wrong with Terry Pratchett. This story is great. Loveable characters, unexpected situations, great writing. The narration is spot on, too.

fantastic writing, read fantastically

this gripping and satirical tale takes hold the reader from both the realms of humor and intrigue, and the voice work sells the rest.

Great listen

The reader was great, and the footnote portions were enjoyable too. One of Pratchett’s best stories

Stephen Briggs' narration is better

I love all things Pratchett, and this book is no exception. It's a very funny and scathing satire of the British banking system at the time it was written.

Unfortunately, I am not as enthusiastic about this narrator's performance, which was merely adequate. The original version, read by Stephen Briggs, was, in my opinion, much better.

Laughs and a little melancholy

I loved the running jokes such as mispronouncing names, Egor’s random lisp, and stealing Drumnaut’s pencil. Gladys the golem was great and life is good when things work out for Moist. I felt bad for Cosmo in spite of his greedy shenanigans as I came to understand that he was having a psychotic break, so I was glad he won the eyebrow raising contest, Mr. Bent finding a happy ending was good, too. I really did not care for Cribbin’s slurping dialog.... that was just awful.
