Publisher's summary

In Bangladesh, the Copenhagen Consensus Center has used cost-benefit analysis to compare the expected returns from alternative policies, allowing the government to improve its citizens’ lives by choosing the best ones. The approach may sound simplistic, but it has the potential to bring enormous benefits almost everywhere.

"Making Government Smarter" is from the September/October 2017 issue of Foreign Affairs.

Foreign Affairs Magazine article

These interesting short audios are articles from Foreign Affairs Magazine. Each is superbly narrated by Kevin Stillwell. Most are available to Audible members at no cost although some such as Making Governments Smarter cost $1.36. The range of available topics is very broad. I recommend them.
