Publisher's Summary

Their families have fought for generations. Could a fake wedding bring them together?

Molly Beluga was abandoned at the altar and has no intention of heading back there anytime soon. When she crosses paths with an arrogant fireman, she knows better than to let her heart get involved. She can’t face the idea of having it broken by another failed relationship. A serious journalist working for her family’s newspaper, her only plan is to focus on her career and to train her new Labrador puppy, Daisy, to behave.

Tim Holden left the family newspaper to become a fireman with the Atlanta Fire Department. After a lifetime of watching the newspaper business consume his family, he has no time for journalists, let alone a beautiful and feisty journalist with no regard for anything other than getting the story. Now 30, he’s grown tired of bouncing between short-term relationships so when an idea emerges for a fake relationship, he’s intrigued.

Will these enemies sheath their swords long enough to formulate a plan that just might bring their warring families back together?

A modern retelling of the classic tale Romeo and Juliet without all the gore. Okay, maybe just a little bit of gore. This book is a laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that proves once again true love can overcome even the most bitter feud and conquer the hardest of hearts.

Fun, sweet romance!

A contemporary twist on Romeo and Juliet, this story gives us Mollie and Tim, each from a family that has been feuding for years. Though they did not meet in a conventional fashion, and both were not looking for a relationship, the two decided to pretend to be engaged and mend the families back together. This you can only imagine is their biggest downfall. As one lie leads to another the family dynamics are expanding to new heights of anger and frustration, but the feelings between Mollie and Tim continue to grow. Will the family hatred keep them apart? Vivi Holt engages the listener in this fun, sweet romance. It is a joy to listen to as their relationship progresses, letting us all relate to some family discord and how these two can help stop it all. One of the best characters in the story is Molie's dog, what crack-up that puppy is! Another great book in this series, hoping Holt continues with more!

Amanda Stribling gives a wonderful performance. Her pairing to this story is exactly as I would hear it if I was reading it. She has a fun, flirty tone to her voice, giving a happy feel, and then in an instant can switch the emotion as the scenes commands. I love her narration of this series.

Tim💘Molly! Great Audible Listen🎧 Fun & Sweet!

Vivi Holt pens another delightful story in her “Make-Believe” series. This is Tim and Molly’s story and is set in Atlanta, Ga., it is a sweet take on Romeo and Juliet’s romance. Their grandfathers had been good friends before they had a fall out, they then become rivals in the news industry. Molly worked for her family’s newspaper but Tim chose not to work for his. Instead he became a Firefighter for Atlanta FD. His truck responds to a call of a gas leak, they are clearing the building when Tim finds a woman refusing to leave, she needs to make a deadline. He picks her up and carries her out fireman style, over his shoulder. What a great first meeting, LOL! They bump into each other again at the bowling alley and start to get to know each other better. Both knowing their family history they mastermind a plan to end the feud between their grandfathers, hence the make-believe theme of the story. I loved how their story played out, there is never a dull moment with a great mix of humor, drama and what starts make-believe turns to a true romance. There is also a suspenseful & scary moment for Molly and her sister at their office. Well done Vivi Holt, very well done.

I listened to the Audible edition, the talented Amanda Stribling is an entertaining storyteller and voice performer. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own voice and personality. She projects the emotions of the characters and the drama of the story into her performance. It is always a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen🎧

Fun Story and Sweet Romance!

I love this sweet and fun romance. I loved the main characters, Tim and Molly. Tim is a handsome fireman who was never been in love. Molly is a feisty journalist who had her heart broken by a failed relationship. I was hooked from their first scene together, when he carried her outside a building. Their relationship began with a make-believe, in an attempt to bring their families to get over the grudges, but ended with a beautiful HEA. I loved to follow them in their journey while their sentiments grown. I absolutely loved the Epilogue. The secondary characters were also interesting, in particular, Vicky, Callum and also Daisy, Molly's Golden Labrador. Their parents and grandfathers were hilarious. Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Make-Believe Honeymoon, Callum's story. The narration was well done and easy to listen. I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Family Feud

Molly Beluga is a journalist, working at her family's newspaper in Atlanta. When she meets Tim Holden, the son of the rival newspaper's owner, she isn't interested in a relationship.

However, the two families have been feuding for decades and Molly and Tim decide to pretend to be in love in order to bring the feud to an end. Of course, there are lots of bumps and tears along the way, but there is an HEA for all of us romantics! Also, the descriptions of Tim's job as a fireman were a great addition to the book, adding some intense action and apprehension. And, Daisy, Molly's dog, has to be my favorite character!

A well-written, clean and inspirational book that is sure to entertain all readers. The narrator does a great job and adds a lot to the enjoyment of the book.

I received a copy of this Audible book from the author and chose to review it.

What a way to meet a man!!

I really enjoy the Make Believe series. This is an enemies to lovers romance with attitude. Mollie is determined to let nothing stop her from making a deadline. When there is a gas leak, she asks for ten minutes so she can finish before she evacuated the building. There is not much Tim can do besides carry her to safety. What a way to meet a handsome fireman!!! But the fake wedding plans will ignite the emotions of both families. I really enjoyed how Tim and Mollie fight to not get attached to each other, but somehow fate has a different plan. I laughed out loud at the antics of Daisy, Mollie's puppy. Vivi Holt writes another sweet and funny romance.

Amanda Stribling narration makes this story come to life. I enjoyed her narrating Mollie. Mollie has such sass, and Ms. Stribling brings that out. I love the consistency of one narrator for a series. Ms. Stribling enhanced the overall experience of this story.
