Publisher's Summary

Tyson Compass, as one of the famed Compass quads, is not a wizard used to living with regrets. Except for one: Grace Carter.

Grace is a healer witch he rejected many years ago. After completely disappearing from his life, she has returned and turned his world upside down. The attraction between them flares strongly, but she has not forgotten or forgiven his callous rebuff when they were teens.

Tyson does everything he can to prove he will never hurt her again, and just when he thinks there might be a chance for them, she has to leave again. She makes him promise not to follow her - a promise he honors for as long as he can. But after almost two months with no word, he’s done waiting. He’s going to find his girl.

With a little help from his brothers, he tracks her down, only to find Grace betrayed by her family...tortured...hurt. His rage knows no bounds. He will do everything he can to bring her family to justice, to find out why they turned on her.

By unlocking these secrets, though, he will discover that Grace is so much more than just a healer witch. She holds a secret that could save the world of Faerie. Or destroy it.

Magical Compass is a spin-off set within the Supernatural Prison world. It is full-length at 90,000 words, and is a stand-alone with HEA. You do not need to hear the Supernatural Prison trilogy first, but it will help your understanding of this world if you do.

The narration needs editing

So I normally love Jaymin Eve books. But this one was a little too same same for me. Plus the narrator kept calling Jacob, Jason. In chapter 9 the editing crew totally missed where she makes a mistake says she doesn’t like it pauses and starts over. Less than fabulous narration can ruin a book. Tyson compass was better than Grace but in no way the same league as the narration that was in Dragon marked. Which is unfortunate. I hope for Jacob and Louis’s story they chose a different narration team. Narration real makes or breaks a book for me personally and for this book it unfortunately broke it.

I can’t wait for the next book

I love the Compass quads pack. This story is full of adventure, in an incredible story. Who’d thought that Grace was such a bad ass. The narrator’s did a great job acting out the parts, the sex scene could have used a little more motivation... just sayin... also the editing team of this recording need to pay more attention to detail with the bloopers. Unless, that was left there on purpose. I had a good laugh though. I love 💕 Jaymin Eve’s stories, can’t wait for the next one.

Edits Needed

There are some problems with the editing; some awkward pauses and some repeated takes. The narration was great though.

Kinda lame

The story was a bit dull to be honest. And the narrators were dull as well so many characters sounding the same. It was hard to differentiate between who was talking. There was a few mistakes that were restarted and instead of removing it they kept it in the recording. Just seemed lazy.

Where is the actual story?

I really enjoyed the other books in this series. The narrating did have some editing issues but overall was decent otherwise.

The general concept of the book seems like it would be great and the story started off awesome. Unfortunately, it's only about 10% story and 90% characters praising each other and going on and on and on and on and on about their love. "I love you so much, you're so hot, you're the only one for me (although I will also continuously bring up how hot your brothers are too...weird on a supposed bond so strong), I'm not good enough, no, you're perfect as you are, I'm so insecure, I will make you not insecure for the rest of your life". This talk of how in love they are with the other person, the "pack", the brothers, and each other again is pretty much the bulk of this book. It's like a love word-salad. There is no real substance as to why they love each other other than the "bond", so it's not even interesting to hear how or why they feel the way they do.

When Alexa announced that there are over 3 hours left of this I actually groaned. This is SO boring to listen to. Where is the story? If you cut most of the never-ending declarations of love this book might be decent. To be clear I love love stories, this is just lazy writing though. There are bits of things that happen other than the hours of love word-salad but not enough to keep my interest.

excited for the possibility of two more stories but pleass review the narration. there was a chapter where names were said incorrectly as well as a messup and you hear her ask to start over.

sloppy editing

I like the reader but there are a few parts that didnt get edited. once in a while there is a long pause then they re read what they read. at one point they even say "let's try that again" then go back a few minutes.

Wonderful storytelling, Even better story.

my only issue with the reading of this book is that there were a few errors. At one point Jacob was referred to as 'Jason', by Will M Watt. Another time, Rachel Rauch made an error and said "let's start that over" before repeating herself. I dont believe that was meant to be in the story. otherwise it was amazing. The readers really immersed me in the adventure and brought some of my favorite characters to life.

Too much lovey dovey

I enjoyed the story but I think it focussed a little too much on the love rather than the story. Made me a little queesy.
