Great bedtime read. Our favorite children's book so far.

What did you like best about this story?

My son kept asking to look at the picture, so he could imagine to story. He had a smile on his face the whole time we listen, and he eagerly gets ready for bed to hear the next story!

Have you listened to any of Mary Pope Osborne’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but it was fun to see the anticipation of hearing the next chapter.

Great Series for Kids

Would you listen to Magic Tree House Collection: Books 1-8 again? Why?

I would say yes on a long family drive. My daughter been young and my son getting to the age were he can listen to a book long enough to understand what is going on. I feel it would be like a movie that your kids put on repeat.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Anne was great. My daughter can not stop talking about her

Any additional comments?

This was my daughters first experience with audio books and the narration is way more fun then me reading the same books to her.

An Imaginary Series

This series is so interesting. I like it. A good series with imagination, what the reader expects is not what it seems.

Wonderful stories for long drives.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

If you have children, these are a great way to pass the time on a long drive.

What did you like best about this story?

The stories are very captivating and each set of downloads includes around 8 books from the series. Each story builds on the next.

Which scene was your favorite?

We enjoy Mummies in the morning most. Book 3 I believe.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. Better to break them up.

Any additional comments?

Overall I would highly suggest them. The only critique I have is that they are all read by the Author. She does a good job, but just doesn't put enough "life" into each of the characters.

The Books Wouldn't Be This Popular For Nothing

Would you listen to Magic Tree House Collection: Books 1-8 again? Why?

Yes, I would. And over and over and over . . .More importantly, my kids will listen to these over and over, although they're most excited to hear a new one. They know this series from having it read to them in print, starting when my older child was not yet 4. They're now 4 and 5-1/2.

What about Mary Pope Osborne’s performance did you like?

Mary Pope Osborne does an adequate job: she definitely doesn't sound like some of the amateur readers I've heard on free audiobooks. She's also, however, not as skilled as may of the professional audio readers.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I haven't been moved by the books, but I've realized over time that my kids have learned from them. I tend to skip over the parts the character Jack reads from his books and my mind stays with the story, but my kids soak it all in. Recently we saw a toucan at a zoo, and my 4 year old started talking about the different levels of the rainforest.

Great kids stories for the car

This first audiobook collects the first 8 books of the extensive Magic Treehouse book series.

My kids are 6 and 4, and these stories are perfect for both of their ages (and don't annoy my teenager too much ;)

These are great for car rides, stories the kids like. And nice calm stories that aren't too exciting. And a great message about the magic of books and childhood.
