Sunset of the Sabertooth: The Ice Age is very cool…for two kids in bathing suits! Jack and Annie nearly freeze when the Magic Tree House whisks them back to the time of cave people and woolly mammoths. But nothing can stop them from having another wild adventure—not even a saber-toothed tiger!
Midnight on the Moon: Three …two…one…BLAST OFF! The Magic Tree House whisks Jack and Annie off to the moon—and the future. Their mission? To find the last "M" thing that will free Morgan from the spell. Can they do it before the air in their oxygen tank runs out? Will the mysterious moon man help them? And why is Peanut the mouse acting so strange?

"Osborne's narration is low-key and well-paced. A great way to introduce children who are reluctant readers or can't yet read to this highly entertaining book series and to reading in general."--Chicago Parent
“Osborne's soothing, beautifully articulated voice and knack for characterization are reliably pleasing."—AudioFileSunset of the Sabertooth ©1996 Mary Pope Osborne; Midnight on the Moon ©1996 Mary Pope Osborne; (P)2001 Random House, Inc., Imagination Studio, an imprint of the Random House Audio Publishing Group

Would you consider the audio edition of Magic Tree House to be better than the print version?
I always think a version in print is better (we like to encourage our children to read), but I do love that we can listen to these books in the car or for "quiet time".Any additional comments?
We've purchased the first 18 books for my children (aged 4 and 5) and plan to continue through the series. Mary Pope Osborne does a great job; the only thing better would be if they were dramatized.I love so many things about this series: That Jack and Annie are kind to one another, the positive messages about reading and the idea that reading can take you places, and the historical accuracy of each book. My kids love them!
Fantastic!
