This is my favorite so far!

I like all of the Audible books in this series so far, but this is my favorite right now (I plan to listen to all of them). The evolution of the characters and story is absolutely great and the narrator is just delightful to listen to. It seems to get better every time. If you love magic, supernatural creatures and action, you’ll likely enjoy these books.

Warning: Not Stand Alone Books

Love what I'm hearing so far. Theres romantic tension without outright lewdness. The heroine, Kate Daniel's, is a bit of an emotional doofus, but not overwhelmingly so. Just in over her head where diplomacy and politics are concerned when she REALLY needs to have more.

So magical.

"It's not my fault he didn't know how to fall" 🤣

Arenas, Gladiator style fights, and naked dinner bets. This is my favorite book of the series so far. Lots of fighting and the love story goes up one on step. Not far but closer than before. I cant wait until the bet is paid.

I like that the Beast Lord is not as predictable as one might think. He is a tough but thoughtful leader. It makes the series more interesting when you can still be surprised.

I also have a feeling that Derick and a future Julie may be an item.

Narration by Renee Raudman was excellent!

This Should go Marvel

On the merit of Simon being the grandson of Loki. just a movie about the gladiator ring. good start point, this shows Kate as a Swordsman, taunts Roland and Curran starts seriously courting Kate. I have always wanted to see these I books on the big screen. Marvel may be a way to do this.
My personal need to see is the Big Battle during the flair. I want to see that. Also I'm biased as this is actually my favorite series. Thank You.

The Kate Daniels Series Just Keeps Getting Better

I just finished reading this book again for the umpteenth time and I love it as much now as I did when I read it for the first time! I was up until 1:11 AM this morning reading it because I just couldn't put it down - that's how good it is! I love Kate Daniels because she's tough when she has to be and yet, she's achingly lonely. She's willing to die for the people she can't help but care about and yet, she wonders what it would be like to have someone she can really trust in her life to come home to. Kate's entire life, from the time she could walk, has been spent training for one purpose and we get a glimpse into what the training was like in this book. Kate becomes more multi-dimensional with each book in the series. The world building is phenomenal and all the characters, whether primary or secondary, just leap off the page because the imagery is so vivid and alive. Kate stretches herself to the breaking point in this book, shaking hands with Death and is snatched away from Death at the last moment. The explosive chemistry between Kate and Curran finally comes to a head in this book and it's just as hot as you could hope for and touching at the same time. There aren't enough superlatives to use to rave about these books. I sincerely recommend them to everyone who loves urban fantasy with a strong, female protagonist. Renee Raudman perfectly portrays Kate's rage and grief over what happens to Derrek and the stunning realization that she's attracted to Curran. Each performance delves deeper and deeper into Kate as more and more is revealed about her.

If you like the first 2 you'll love it

If you've read the first 2 you'll love this one. If you haven't read the others, go read them first. You won't be lost, but the characters will mean more to you if you've gotten to know them. Non of these books take themselves too seriously, and are a fun fantastic story with a few twists and turns to keep you engaged enough to want to know what happens next. A fun read.

Thunder Dome meets Kubla Khan

One of my favorites in the Kate Daniels series. Kate is a kickass heroine just trying to live on the down-low in Atlanta, where magic and tech now ebb and flow like the tides This book is where the little hints about Kate’s past and potential break open and the higher stakes and promise of impending showdown are thrown down. Also, this book is where all my favorite characters fill out and their strengths and weaknesses are fully realized. Saiman, Jim, Derek, Kate and Curran become multidimensional here.
The plot is fun, beginning with Kate and Co. entering into a gladiator style, Thunder Dome (two men enter, one man leaves) underground fight club... but with magical beings. Throw in another, magical dimension that reminded me of Kubla Khan and combine with a western style revenge-showdown theme as the Scooby gang hunt down those responsible for harming Kate’s were-friend Derek.
Finally, things heat up big time between Kate and Curran, in saucy, sizzling fashion. I love my alpha male romances, especially when the female isn’t some submissive damsel, but is instead an alpha in her own right. They are both strong, heroic, crazy, and flawed... in essence, perfect for each other.

great read

another great read, she develops the Male characters very well and reads just the right speed n tone at all times. I really enjoy all the action n how it just has a tad bit of romance unlike some books I've recently read and the dude cant even walk without staring at her lips or forgetting what hes doing, it's a bit much. this one perfect blend n makes it more realistic with all the facts and knowledge of weapons and deities.
