Publisher's Summary

Excellent book

As a French native, I found the performance outstanding. The reader can pass all the emotions of the book through his voice acting. Great job!

As for the book, it is a classic of French litterature. About boredom and dissatisfaction. Madame Bovary's character feels incredibly real.

Madame Bovary {French Version}

Excellent pronunciation; very clear and pleasant to hear. I already knew the story and I bought the audio book to keep up with the French Language, which is my second out my three languages. .

Me agradó mucho. El desenlace es muy terrible. La narración es estupenda.

Beautiful French Classic - good reader

The book is a great French classic; the story is very strong, although it may have aged a bit as it is difficult to really empathise with Emma, the main protagonist, and it is really worth knowing about the historical period in which the story is set.
The beautiful rhythm of the Flaubert's prose is very well served by the very pleasant narration of Alain Lawrence.
One slight issue: the female voices rendered in the falsetto voice sound childish and are distracting..
