Romance in Hollywood often happens in the most unexpected way, with the least expected person. MY MOVIE STAR is the story of Shayla Brannon - a cute, normal girl who happens to live in Studio City, directly in the omnipresent shadow of Hollywood. Romance is the very last thing on Shayla's mind when a big Mercedes careens out of control on Sunset Strip and collides with her car. She has no way of knowing just how much her “very normal” life is about to change; she's just grateful to be alive, but suddenly she’s gazing at a strangely familiar, gorgeous face staring at her through her shattered window. The driver of the Mercedes is none other than Mr. Movie Star, Hollywood’s number one golden boy and one of the most recognizable faces in the world. Paramedics arrive on the scene and he insists on accompanying her to the hospital where Shayla finds herself thrust into a riotous spotlight as the paparazzi and his entourage converge on the hospital emergency room. Later, he gallantly offers her a ride home from the hospital in his limo, and even though he asks for her phone number Shayla assumes she’ll never see him again. A few days later he sends her a very flirtatious text message and she doesn’t know how to respond - or whether to be flattered or terrified.The friendship quickly turns into an unlikely romance as Shayla finds herself straddling two completely different worlds – her “normal” life and career as a professional equestrian, and the surreal spotlight Hollywood world of ultimate privilege, power, paparazzi and the behind-the-scenes secrets and lies of the celebrity elite.
