Publisher's summary

Time travel was not in her job description.

Emery Parker can hardly believe her luck. She’s landed the museum internship of her dreams: working with a collection of ancient Scottish swords. But when she finds herself locked in a stone room of weapons that look brand new, she demands to know what kind of game is being played.

Laird Luthias MacRoss has never believed the legend of the Fire Sword. But the appearance of a young lass in his armory changes his mind. Not only does she possess the delicate beauty of the Fae, she holds their sword in her hand.

But as her purpose slowly becomes clear and their torrid attraction blossoms, Luthias finds he must choose between his heart and the good of his clan.

Narrator

Seemed like it would be a good book but the ai narrative was not good. I found myself getting lost because I continually stopped listening. I would be good if you needed help falling asleep.

Computer voice is NOT for me

Can not take the computer generated voice. With no inflection, flat syllables (listen to hear what I mean) it made it very painful to listen to. I only stuck it out because I genuinely enjoyed the story. Too bad it's part of this experiment.

Missing Something

the heroin and the hero, took the whole premise of time travel completely calm. As if it was an everyday occurrence. Then everyone except the heros brother ( who happens to be the war chiefian) excepts that this woman just showed up from 700 years in the future. Even with a 900 year old prophecy, it was a bit unbelievable. Then the whole Virtual Voice Translator.... well it was awful, monotoned with no emotion or deviation from one character to the other. My 10 year old granddaughter reads aloud with more enthusiasm then this audio book. And I think the story lost so much of my attention simply from the narration ... For what they charge for audio books, one would think they would hire real people to perform them.

computer voice is awful

I am very interested in the story but got lost because the narration is monotonous. I couldn't track characters, change of scenes and felt nothing while it droned on, frequently zoning out and getting more confused with characters and story line. I liked the story but hated the computer voice's lack of inflection, emotion, or differences in characters. It was difficult to pay attention and follow.
