A charming story about an unhappy little ladybug, narrated by top model Natalie Laughlin.
Lucy Ladybug is tired of being short and round. She wants to have a waist like a wasp and goes on a doomed-to-fail series of wacky diets suggested to her by her other insect friends. In the end, Lucy learns that she is beautiful in her own special way. She also learns how her favorite healthy diet helps the whole garden and all its inhabitants, even the human people.
The narration is accompanied by delightful sound effects and original music by Rafael (Rufus) Silva. This soundtrack compliments the beautifully illustrated print book of the same name. Your child's imagination will soar when they immerse themselves in a fanciful world of insects in a backyard garden. Following along with the book will also enhance their reading skills.

What a great way to introduce nature (and self-acceptance) to kids
Vicki Chelf has produced a marvelous and entertaining way to teach children (with art, music and song) about nature and self acceptance. I look forward to her next Bug People’s Project musical book!

Inspiring children’s book to uplift
I so loved this enchanting book and so did the kids - they loved the story and all the songs and how they were performed- listening to it while reading the book is magical and kept the kids enthralled! Highly recommended!
