Publisher's Summary

A clean billionaire romance.

Kayn never imagines a murder could lead him to love....

Billionaire Kayn Rafferty is happy with his life, content to be married to his job. Until his sister is threatened by the thugs who killed her husband. Things get even more complicated when the woman hired to help protect his sister finagles her way into his heart. He's made it clear; he's not a commitment kind of guy, and that's not changing.

Sona Rakan's glad to take the job playing decoy for the sister of a handsome billionaire. What she doesn't count on is falling for the guy. Her hopes for something more with him are dashed when the job comes to an abrupt end.

Then he offers her a chance to help him again, this time with his new charity. Not only will her terminally ill grandmother get her dream trip to Ireland, but Sona will have one last opportunity to convince Kayn to take a chance on love. But can she risk her heart when he's made it clear that one day he'll kiss her goodbye?

Clean and entertaining - Masterful interpretation

Luck of a Billionaire is a sweet, inspirational novel with a good storyline and a great set of characters.
Ms. Weaver has been able to create a cast of vivid and captivating characters; while Kayn and Sona, the leading couple, both have interesting and intriguing personalities, many of the side characters are instrumental in creating the overall atmosphere of the story. Sona's grandmother is probably the most important one, wise and compassionate, making controversial life choices and encouraging others to respect them.
Sona's Irish family and friends are smart-mouthed, generous and loving individuals. They are a group of lively, picturesque and captivating characters. Finally, Joe, the wise bodyguard, deserves a mention as he steps in as the father figure that neither Kayn nor Sona ever had.
To give life to such rich and diverse personalities is not an easy task. The narrator does a tremendous job, mimicking accents and expressions, impersonating emotions and character traits.
The audiobook enriches and complements the printed version, giving it new depth where the creativity of the author meets the sensitivity of a great performer.

Sona and Kayn!

Kayn hires Sona to impersonate his sister, Ahri after a murder attempt is made on her life. We meet them both in the first book of this series and I am so glad we get to hear their story. Sona and Kayn are spending more time together, and there is definitely chemistry. But Kayn has some commitment issues that hold him back. Will he be able to overcome them to find true love? This story has a little of everything for me. It's a great love story with frustrating moments and building passion. But my real love of the book was the relationship between Sona and her grandmother. This really drew me in, maybe because I had a wonderful relationship with my grandmother. It's heart warming, the trip to Ireland vivid and beautiful and the slow burn between Kayn and Sona ever smoldering. It's a great listen, and made me fall for this billionaire!

Vicki Pierce does an amazing job with the narration of this story. From Kayn and Sona to the Irish brogue of family members, she is spot on with her emotions and inflections. I really enjoyed her performance.

billions won't necessarily solve your problems

He developed a highly successful computer game called REKD and now he's a billionaire. But he has personal issues because his father walked out on his mom, sister and him when he was a young teen. Never planned on marriage or even a long term relationship until he met Soni. And in this book you'll get to join them on a bucket list trip to Ireland. I think that Vicki Pierce did a wonderful job on the narration and enjoyed her Irish brogue. Very good story.

Overcoming emotional baggage

Sona is hired by Kayn in the first story to impersonate his sister, Ahri, to be a decoy for the bad men that are after her. This second story over laps with the first one for a little bit of the story.
Sona and Kayn are starting to have feelings for each other. Sona is hesitant since Kayn is her boss. Kayn has entirely different concerns. He promised himself years ago that he would never marry. He is convinced that he is married to his job and can’t make a good husband. However, the truth of the situation is that he was hurt by his father who left him and his sister and mother when he was young. He saw how the loss of his father affected his mother. He doesn’t want to give any person the power to hurt him. Sona has her own emotional hurts and is also dealing with the potential loss of her ill grandmother who has raised her since she was 5. Once her grandmother passes she will be alone in the world. She finds hope in Kayn. But Sona has to change Kayn’s mind about having a real relationship. This is a clean romance that focuses on the ideas of love and loss.
