Publisher's Summary

Private investigators Liz Talbot and Nate Andrews have worked their share of domestic cases. So when Tammy Sue Lyerly hires them to find out what her husband is hiding, they expect to find something looney but harmless. After all, this is the guy who claims to have been a DEA agent, a champion bull rider, and a NASCAR driver. But when he turns up dead the morning after Liz and Nate deliver incriminating photos, Tammy Sue becomes the prime suspect. Questioning the truth of Zeke Lyerly's tall tales, Liz and Nate race to uncover small-town scandals, long buried secrets, and the victim's tumultuous past to keep Tammy Sue out of jail and the case from going up in flames.

Entertaining

This one isn't as exciting as the other books but it is enjoyable. The story is interesting and the pace of the story is slow and easy like a South Carolina drawl. I enjoy this series and look forward to the next book.

I need a new one that ho good they are

If you could sum up Lowcountry Bonfire in three words, what would they be?

funny, great twist, and engaging

What other book might you compare Lowcountry Bonfire to and why?

hmm

Have you listened to any of Loretta Rawlins’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

all of them all great

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

the scense of place I am moving to an island with no bridge off of SC

Any additional comments?

a little to loose with the facts

I enjoy Boyer's books, they are fun to listen to BUT being a law enforcement office i did not appreciate the way she treated her brother, the chief of police. She stated they did the investigation because she had more experience then the cops. if so, she should have her brother right along side her during every step of the way so he could learn. Also you don't brief the chief when you feel like it you brief him when he asks. finally if you are acting as a paid agent for the town and police you have to follow the rules for interviews, searches and handling evidence. i know you will say your just writing a fiction but a little more research wouldn't hurt.
