Publisher's Summary

Hollywood star Ashe Hunter has done many things to get ahead...some of them best kept hidden from the public eye.

But when someone from his past threatens to reveal his darkest secrets, how far will he go to keep them from the woman he loves?

To his fans, Ashe Hunter is the perfect man, the classically trained British actor taking Hollywood and Broadway by storm. To his American girlfriend, Riley Eames, he is a man in love who'll do anything to keep her safe from the prying eyes of paparazzi suddenly digging into her life.

But to someone from his past, Ashe is her ticket to Hollywood fame, and she'll do anything to get it even if it means tearing down the perfect image he built for himself long after he left her.

Loving Riley is the second novel in a series readers have called “beautiful”, heartbreaking”, and “full of shocking twists and turns”.

Loving Riley (Celebrity Series, Book 2)

Loving Riley is the second book in the Celebrity series and the continuation/conclusion to Riley and Ashe's story from Loving Ashe. Technically, you would not have to listen to book two. Book one ends in a way where I didn't feel I was missing much wihen it ended. However, after listening to book two, I learned there was so much more to Riley and Ashe's story than I realized. Quite a few secrets were revealed and both their pasts came back to haunt them. I would definitely recommend listening to both books and listen to them in order.

I loved Ashe and the way he was with Riley. You could tell he loved her and only her. He was her support when she needed it the most. Overall, I really liked Riley, too. Her self-doubt of her relationship with Ashe and his feelings got a little old at times, but some of it was understandable once I heard more of her story.

This is the first I've listened to anything by this narrator and I have mixed feelings. I'd give the narration 3.5 stars. On one hand, I thought his overall voice was yummy, and normally the British accent does nothing for me. He had a great mix of accent and deepness to his voice when he was reading Adhe's parts. On the other hand, I felt the rest of the characters fell a little flat. There was not enough distinction between them to always know who was saying what. His female voices sounded just as deep as his male voices. There were also times it felt as though the story was being told without punctuation or real emotions.
*I was provided a copy of this audiobook and voluntarily chose to leave a review. This is my honest review.*

Great storyline

This is book two and very enjoyable. There’s a lot going on so I recommend you read book 1 first so you can bond with the characters. Good strong characters with their issues. Brilliant performance from Martin.

Great Conclusion to Riley and Ashe's story!

This is th second and final book in The Celebrity Series. This is a great conclusion to Riley and Ashe's story. They are both strong, honest, mature, and beautiful characters. They share a sizzling chemistry. This emotional story is beautifully written. I love to have Ashe’s POV. He is a handsome character, intriguing, loving and caring. The storyline is filled with suspense, secrets, drama, and unpredictable twists and turns. Martin John Hopkins has a great voice, with an amazing British accent, really pleasant to listen to. However, I would have liked a better range of voices, because the characters weren't always easy to distinguish. This isn't a big issue, because we get, for the most part, Ashe's POV. I enjoyed listening to this story.

Silver Linings

Wonderful ending to Riley and Ashe’s journey. Everything came full circle and felt complete. As with the first part of their story there are a lot of emotions and feelings in this half as well. Jealousy and anger from outside sources create a good amount of drama in Riley and Ashe’s lives. Threatening to tear them apart but their love, mutual respect and honesty with each other just might make them strong enough to get through the storm. There were a couple of surprises as Ashe and Riley try to figured out who has it out for them and what the end game is.
Theirs is a story of love, betrayal, forgiveness and healing.
I really enjoyed going on this journey with them. (4.5⭐️)

Ash and Riley

I love the characters in this story and how the storyline expanded. It did however go in a direction I did not see coming and it through me just a bit. Narration would have been 5 stars except I had trouble hearing the females, but the males were on point.

Full of Twists and Turns

Ending was full of twists and turns! Loved all the confidence Ash has and his willingness to love wholeheartedly! Narration was good, I wish this was a duet only because Martin would be reading and sometimes it was hard to tell if he was reading Ash or Riley!

A perfect conclusion

This is a wonderful conclusion to the series. I enjoyed Ashe's point of view. The revelations were twists that I never saw coming. These pages turned themselves as I could not stop reading. Ashe's past that he has been keeping hidden from Riley may come out and ruin what they have. I found myself routing for Ashe and I found myself hating others. There is so much revealed in this book, that is is a must read. Preferably immediately after reading Loving Ashe.

Martin John Hopkins has an amazing British accent. He brought Ashe to life. Mr. Hopkins is able to separate the characters well. His female voices were easy to listen to and did not seem forced. This is my first story with Mr. Hopkins narrating and I hope to hear more from him.

Darkest Secrets Exposed!

Loving Riley, Celebrity Book 2 wraps up the celebrity series with the pov of Ashe's.
With Ashe's past being brought into view blackmail which took a scandalous turn. The reveal of dark secrets brings more angst, melodrama, & unexpected twists to the narrative. Suspense & mystery swirling through the pages. Supporting character's play a intricate role & sweeten up the lovestory. The ending was fitting.

Narator Martin John Hopkins performance of Ashe was how I pictured Ashe. His british accent fit the character. However, when changing characters his voice didn't change enough which made it difficult to differentiate between them. That being said, most of the audio is of Ashe speaking so it didn't take too much of the story away. His tone & pace flows through smoothly. An easy listen.

More Ashe💘Riley Greatness! Heartfelt & Emotional!

I fell in love with this characters in the first book “Loving Ashe”, which was in Riley’s POV, this is a continuation of their story told in Ashe’s POV. The chemistry between the two is still smoking but their relationship is being tested. Ashes past is brought into light and things from Riley’s past is turmoil. Liz Durano is a master at writing stories that are filled with many different emotions, this story seems a bit more intense then the first book, there is a bit more of suspense, secrets are revealed and we see a hole different side of Ashe. There is never a dull moment in this book, in addition to the suspense there is drama, angst, twists that will have your head spinning and more heartfelt & hot romance. Liz Durano, thank you for another great story and the emotional rollercoaster ride.

I listened to the Audible edition, Martin John Hopkins is a terrific narrator, he did a great job portraying Ashe, his voice and accent was spot on for his character. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Ashe and Riley’s story continues!

I enjoyed book 1 and looked forward to listening to book 2. I love that we’re getting more of Ashes perspective in this story. Liz Durano did a really good job making book 2 just as good as book 1. The narration was good. The book was well written and not formulaic. It stood on its own and made me love Riley and Ashe more. Great book .

Loved the story but narration wasn’t great

I loved the second part of this story of Riley and Ashe and their very dramatic relationship hurdles! Sadly I felt the narration let this down a bit, Martin did a great accent for Ashe but I found it difficult to differentiate between the other characters in the dialogue, especially as they were Americans so it was a bit strange hearing them talk in a Yorkshire accent.

Good story...

I found this storyline to be quite fascinating. As a society we are so very obsessed with actors and actresses, especially if they are beautiful. We might even become a bit crazed for our favorite leading man and/or woman. I think Ashe shows us what it’s like to be that person. To be that man always in the limelight and having people, paparazzi stalking your every move. I liked the story. There were some flaws IMO but nothing that made it unenjoyable really.

Martin John Hopkins narrated Ashe in Loving Riley. He was ok. I don’t know, something didn’t quite hit the mark for me with the portrayal. But again, nothing was every overly wrong, it just didn’t hit perfectly for me.
