Publisher's Summary

A booty call. A stuck elevator. A chance to move on.

Three years after her ex-boyfriend left her to pursue his Hollywood dream, Riley Eames' life is still on hold, hindered by questions only he can answer.

So when he asks to meet her for a booty call while he's in town, she reluctantly agrees, only to get stuck in the hotel elevator with charming British actor, Ashe Hunter, who's in town to promote his latest movie.

But even as sparks fly between them, a celebrity romance may not be enough to get Riley's life moving again, not when the answers to the questions she's been seeking are finally revealed - and letting go just might be the last thing she can ever do.

Not your typical girl meets celebrity...

Loving Ashe: The Celebrity Series, Book 1 by Liz Durano is a great start to The Celebrity Series. This isn't your typical girl meets celebrity boy and they fall into each other story. There's a lot more involved, including an overdose, an ex, betrayal, preconceived notions, and so on. Riley meets Ashe when they're both stuck in an elevator together. She doesn't know who he is, but they go on to grab a bite to eat together and end up getting along really well. As their relationship starts to grow, Riley realizes that her ex-boyfriend may make things a bit tougher to deal with, as she still has a lot of unanswered questions from the time that they split up.

Riley and Ashe were really likable characters and the others, well, were bearable. Her sister Paige was pretty annoying, but is also a pretty integral part of the story, and there are explanations for her actions as the story goes on. Gareth, her ex, is kind of a twit, but ends up being fairly decent in the end. The story was a bit slow moving, as others have mentioned, but still very entertaining.

Tracy Marks did a fabulous job with the narration on this story. Like, for real. Her character voices and accents were well done and all unique, and she added the perfect amount of emotion when needed. This is my first listen to any performance by Ms. Marks, but I'd definitely listen to more of her performances, without any hesitation. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this book if the summary sounds like something that you'd like. It's a good, solid listen and a promising start to the series. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

The pull....

This was a great book. The emotional pull in the book was draining yet captivating. The character depth was fabulous. I felt for each of them, I loved them, i hated them, and then loved them again. It was a back and forth pull of my heartstrings. The painful love triangle - of the old love versus the new. It was great~

Narration and production was awesome! Great quality Audio.

Fantastic narration!

This is my first book, albeit an audio book, by Liz Durano and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it! The writing flowed so perfectly! Riley is fantastic! She’s a perfect heroine! She meets up with an ex who left her to become famous when she gets stuck in an elevator with another actor… she just can’t get away from these men! Here we have Ashe… oh so sweet and swoony Ashe! He just oozes this British charm that American men cannot replicate! I loved the various subplots and was totally on Riley’s side! She needs some self confidence. She needs to believe in herself!

Tracy Marks was the narrator and she did a superb job of coming off shy, yet lacking a bit of confidence. I was laughing at some of the antics and the fun banter between characters. I’m always so intrigued when one narrator can pull off a variation of characters and voices. Mark’s voices worked in all the characters! I loved the narration!

Great start of a series

Reading the blurb of this book I thought it was going to be the "normal" girl falls for the celebrity story but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was so much more. This book has so many twists and turns it leaves you wanting to know whats going to happen next. The secondary characters in this book make up a big part of this story and help bring this story life. This book will pull at your emotions and you will love and hate many of the characters in the book. It's a great book that has a HEA but has some good twists and turns to get there.

Tracy Marks hits this out of the park with her narration. Her narration of Ashe was amazing and she pulls off the kids voices in the next breath. Not many narrators can pull off the work she does!

Worth your time and credit!

Great start to a series. Very entertaining, enjoyable and engaging story. It pulled me in immediately and held my complete attention from start to finish. It's definitley an emotional rollercoaster. This is one of those books I couldn't wait to get back to anytime I had to pause it.

Talk about a tangled web of lies and betrayal. There are different levels of betrayal and this is an ultimate betrayal.

A sweet romance, a huge betrayal, a little steamy romance, a bit of drama and plenty of angst with some interesting twists and surprises you won't see coming. Fortunately they do get a great HEA which they both deserve.

Great cast of characters. Of coarse Ashe and Riley were great and both likable from the start. Which made them easy to relate to and you couldn't help but root for them. Paige was an annoying control freak disguising it as sisterly advice/guidance.

This is the first book by Liz Durano that I have read but it definitley won't be my last. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Hopefully it will be available on Audible soon.

Tracy Marks does a fantastic job with the narration as usual. I love listening to anything she narrates. She has one of those voices that just pull you right into a story and makes it come to life. Clearly spoken with a nice smooth pace. Great character voices and accents. All of them both male and female. She has a way of bringing the characters to life and conveying every single emotion they are going through. Very enjoyable.

A lovely love story

This review is based on an audio-book that I received. It is an honest review and the complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.

'Loving Ashe' by DLiz Durano is the story of Riley Eames. This is the first audio-book in "Celebrity' Series.
This series has 2 books and 1 novella. I think this is a work in progress
This audio-book is about 9 hours and 30 minutes long that does have a semi closed end.
That is what I think of it.

The narrator, Tracy Marks has a nice and soft spoken voice. She is easy to listen to. I always need to get used to someone voice, but in her case it didn't take long. Her pronunciation is very good and accents were outstandingly well and all unique, and she added the perfect amount of emotion when needed. The sound quality is also good. Her voice is clear and with pacing that makes the story easy understand and follow.
I had the feeling that I have heard more spoken books from this narrator. But I dont know which one.

This book is a good way to start 'The Celebrity Series'. This isn't your typical girl meets celebrity boy, not that I have read many many book about it.
I really like the book. I finished this audiobook in less then 2 days. I kept being curious what was going to happen next. I found the start of the book very funny. Not something I read before.
There's a lot going on. I dont want to say to much about it. Sometimes it takes a while to get to a certain point.

A specially Ashe is a very steady guy. That is very nice.
I also liked her sister Paige. Even tough ze was way to protective of her sister at times. She needs to learn to let her sister make her own mistakes and learn from them.
Gareth, her ex, is kind of a twit, but ends up being fairly decent in the end.

I would definitely recommend this book if the summary sounds like something that you'd like.
It's a good, solid listen and a promising start to the series.

Amazing love story

Riley Ian over her ex-boyfriend Gareth after he left her three years ago to become a famous actor. Or so she thinks. When he contact her and aske her to come to his hotel she say yes. But while trying to leave the hotel without seeing Gareth, she is trapped in the elevator with Ashe Husten, a famous actor as well. CAn Riley really let go of her past and find happiness and love again with Ashe ? A powerful story about love. Family, friendship and forgiviness. The audiobook is great.

A Roller Coaster Ride Of Emotion And Drama

This was my first book from this author and I truly enjoyed it. The storyline was very engaging and grabbed and held my attention well with loads of emotional turmoil, drama, humor, delightful banter and stunning twists. I liked the narrator and enjoyed their reading of the book. I liked Riley. On one hand she could be quirky and fun. I also felt for her. She had some big insecurities and some very heavy emotional baggage from her past that still weighed on heavily in her present. As much sympathy as I had for her, I still often found myself wanting to shake her while telling her to let go, move on and grow up. She was the queen of bad decisions. Lashing and acting out like a child and doing plenty of collateral damage to herself and others along the way. I know she was hurt, broken hearted and betrayed. She had a right to her anger and pain. I just wish she hadn't been so immature because in my opinion she hurt some people that just didn't deserve it. As for Ashe, what can I say. This hot British actor had me swooning. With his laid back charm, genuineness, a good splash of intensity and a head that seems to be firmly on straight, he was the ultimate book boyfriend. I do feel that there is more to discover about him and I think that will play heavily into book two of this series. I did love the chemistry and attraction that these two shared. It made them easy to root for as a couple. There was a medium level of heat in this book. It is not fade to black but it is not in-your-face graphic either. Even though it looks like book two contains more of this couple, I feel that it could easily be enjoyed as a standalone book. Things are wrapped up quite nicely by the end of the epilogue. This is my sincere review that I am posting of my own accord.

love, Loving Ashe

Such a great audio listen. I was so vested in these characters and I couldn't help but fall a little in love with Ashe myself. The twists to the storyline made it so addictive. I can't wait to hear more!

Surprisingly depth filled story

I went into this book thinking that it was going to be another straightforward story of leaving one love behind and finding another but was pleasantly surprised by the twists in the story that I didn’t see coming. It was a great way to spend time getting to know and fall for both Ashe and Riley, and I think their HEA was sweet also.

Tracy does a fabulous job of narrating this book, changing tone and accents, and I will look into more books narrated by her since this is a first for me.

I also am new to this author and can’t wait to get into more of the series. I was gifted this audiobook at my request and I am leaving my honest review.

Unexpected

It is amazing how a chance encounter turned into something more. Paige was a harder character to swallow because she had a part in Riley's sadness. I am glad that Riley finally found her closure and learned to stand up for herself. I understood how her dad had teared her down and she has some self-esteem issues. I was sad at the rift between the sisters. I am glad Riley and Ashe for their HEA. Author is new to me and I will be reading more of her.

Great Read

This book started out with a chance meeting in an elevator when Riley was on her way to meet her ex boyfriend. Meeting Ashe was good for Riley. She has no self esteem after her ex dumped her after becoming famous. Riley had a lot to work through during this book and it should have been titled more like finding Riley instead of Loving Ashe. I loved Ashe he was so sweet and great for Riley. I can't wait to read the next book.

Review

This is much more than the romance I thought it was when I started listening to it early in the morning when I could not sleep. It is a very complex and riveting story that has a really complex plot. I ended up listening to it in its entirety and was not disappointed. It revolves a lot around family and those are the parts I found most intense and soul searching. I had my own very strong views and I felt myself screaming them out in my head when I did not like what I was hearing. I think the author is brilliant, she starts off pulling us into thinking this is a straight forward romance with a heartbroken girl. Gradually we are drip fed a story of manipulation and lies and heartbreak. This is a cracker of a story, absolutely marvellous.
