Publisher's Summary

In her sexiest novel yet, acclaimed romance writer Zuri Day reveals how losing a double-dare can be oh-so satisfying. Eden Anderson is more than a little annoyed at her bad luck when she gets stuck with Jansen McKnight as a temporary roommate. Not only did he torment her as a child, but he’s also a meat-loving, gun-toting cop. So when Jansen bets he can seduce Eden, she can’t wait to show him up. But things aren’t quite black and white—and only time will tell who will come out on top.

Double standards

Normally I enjoy Day’s novels even though the heroine tends to get away with doing things that the hero gets in trouble for(like spending time with another man) this has been the worst case of double standards I’ve read from Day. Eden was so closed minded that she acted like only her view was the only valid one to the point of not even listening to the man she claimed she loved. Jansen was very patient with her and deserved a lot better... but love can be blind I guess.

Just Can't...

I tried but I just can't finish this book. This narrator sounds congested and the dialogue in the first few chapters is so childish and stupid that I just can't give it any more of my time. Maybe a different narrator would have given it a different flow and could have saved it, but this one made it a definite no for me.

the story is great but the reader hard pause and delay of ending each chapter, just too much noise in the background.

Childhood crush to love

This was a great steamy book and you were rooting for them from the beginning. Eden was a little pig headed to be so Zen, but she was a heroine you could love. The narrator Jennifer did a good job giving the characters distinct voices. An enjoyable tale of childhood crushes coming of age.

Very good book

I started off being quite annoyed with Jansen however he grew on me as the story went on. This is definitely one of my favorite books by Zuri Day. Would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good love story.

Greattttt

l liked this book and would recommend this book. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I do think that Officer McKnight should have gotten in trouble for handcuffin the Doctor to keep him away from maybe winning his girlfriend's heart. But, if she was his he shouldn't have worried. The narrator was good also.
