His music moves the world. Can his love move her heart?

Nick Blackthorne knows all about words of love. They're the reason he's the world's biggest rock star. The irony? He turned his back on love a long time ago, lured away by the trappings of fame. An invitation to a friend's wedding is a stark reminder of how meaningless his life has become. When he enters that church, there's only one woman he wants on his arm - the one he walked out on a lifetime ago. But first he has to find her, even if all she accepts from him is an apology.

Kindergarten teacher Lauren Robbins once had what every woman on the planet desires. Nick. Their passion was explosive, their romance the stuff of songs - and it took 15 years to get over him. Then out of the blue Nick turns up at her door, and all those years denying her ache for him are shattered with a single, smoldering kiss. But molten passion can't hide the secret she's kept for all these years. Because it's not just her heart on the line anymore - and not just her life that'll be rocked by the revelation.

SUMMARY SOUNDED GOOD..... BUT THE LISTEN DIDN'T

Nick, a handsome successful rock star suddenly becomes tired, tired of the groupies, the sex, the touring and all he wants is a second chance with Lauren the girl, and the love, he had selfishly left behind when he chose fame and fortune without her. It could have been good, in theory it was promising but the actual story and narration was sooo disappointing.

Lauren had been left with heartache, memories (and more) for 15 years and with a big secret to keep from Nick but within minutes and few words they were frantically kissing and groping each other then, within hours, they were sexing it up and within days they were forgiving all and planning their futures. One dimensional characters with no depth in a romance that was too quick, not enough build-up or grovelling (on both sides) too much sex vs. not enough story and the Australian narrator was hopeless.... the males all sounded female and there was no passion to her voice which definitely lost this listen stars. Yes, there were a few touching, tender and sweet parts with romantic sentiments but sadly just not enough of them.

Worth a credit? At under $10 I just bought it and, in my opinion when compared to greats in this genre like Sinners On Tour by Olivia Cunning, NO this work is not worth a credit but maybe a half price sale.

Did Not Live Up to Promise

Love's Rhythm had so much promise; if only Lexxie Couper had spent more time developing the characters and making the plot slightly more realistic.

Nick, the rock star, was engaging, tender and sexy but I'm not sure I believe that his "moment of truth" about his first love Lauren occurred when he was having a threesome with total strangers at an island resort.

It was never explained if Lauren dated any other men after leaving Nick when she was about 20. Lauren didn't seem like a martyr (thank God) but no red blooded woman would waste 15 years mooning over her high school boyfriend.

There were some interesting secondary characters, which could have elevated this book from okay to phenomenal. I liked Nick's body guard Aslin the best, and luckily his book is the next in this series.
