Great Read

Lovers at Heart was a great read by Melissa Foster. Treat and Max have a past that has continued to follow them. They now have a chance encounter that brings them together agin. Only this time all they need is honesty. I absolutely loved reading Treat and Max's story and can't wait to read more Braden's stories.

Max and Treat

Treat and Max had instant chemistry when they met, but a misunderstanding and some insecurities on Max's part kept them apart. Then a chance encounter 6 weeks later puts them together again and Treat is determined to not let Max leave. Except before Max can give her whole self to Treat she needs to face her past and put her past trauma to rest.
Good story, a little more internal plot than I prefer as Max dealt with her past and the emotions that come with her past trauma. I enjoyed the interactions between Treat, his father and the siblings.

I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

This is a "Treat"!

After meeting Treat at the Snow Sister weddings, I couldn't wait to hear his story. And who better to be with than Max! This prince charmingesque story just makes me fall for another Braden! Treat met Max and could not get her out of his head. His time of hookups is over, and he wants to settle down. Max is hesitant. Very hesitant. Yes, she is charmed by Treat, but she holds a deep seeded pain that has never been dealt with. Now on the verge of falling in love, will she deal with her past? Will Treat still want her? Melissa Foster once again delivers a romance that you can't help but love. It's sweet and the Treat is every woman's dream. She also weaves in relevancy, which is what I love about her writing. Max's history could happen to any woman, and dealing with her past is key. Plus the information she finds out from her ex-boyfriend leads us to another real life issue, again dealt with love and compassion. Her characters have real depth and the family just take us in as one of their own. Loved this one!

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York bring this "treat" to life. I love them together! These seasoned narrators play off each other so well, and understand their characters delivering a performance we can't help but enjoy.

Most excellent Series

These are stand alone books but totally better read in order to follow the characters from the very first book. Very therapeutic and life affirming stories that can be applied to our own lives, to realize we are all dealing with our own past and ways to slay those demons.

Swoony story

4.5 stars Treat and Max met a few months ago when her best friend/boss was getting married at his resort. The had instant chemistry, but after a misunderstanding they left trying to forget each other. They meet again, by chance, and decide they can’t not try to give each other a chance. I loved Treat and how fantastic he is and also love how strong Max is. I can’t wait to read the books for the rest of the Colorado Braden’s.

Feel-good romance!

I had a good time with this audiobook. I have read a handful of books written by Melissa Foster and have found that I really do like her writing style. I was really excited about this book because I was eager to hear Max's story, who has played a role in earlier books in the Love in Bloom series. This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone but is a part of the Love in Bloom series and also kicks off The Braden's series. This was a really nice listen.

Treat and Max first crossed paths in a previous book. They had a lot of sparks then but it didn't go further due to a misunderstanding. When they see each other again at the start of this book, I was ready to see some sparks fly. Things heat up pretty quickly and they fall for each other pretty hard and fast. I did really like both Treat and Max. Max had some issues from her past to deal with and I was pleasantly surprised at how everything worked out as she found the resolution that she needed.

I love the narrating pair of Sebastian York and Andi Arndt. I think that their voices really complement each other in this kind of story. Both narrators did a great job of bringing Treat and Max to life. I thought that they both added a lot of emotion into their reading. I listened to the book for hours at a time and feel like the narration added to my overall enjoyment.

I would recommend this book to fans of contemporary romance. I found this to be a wonderful feel-good romance between a pair of wonderful characters. I am looking forward to getting to know Treat's siblings a little better as I continue with the series.

I received a copy of this audiobook from the author/publicist.

Love, Love, Love ...

I’ve had the opportunity to both read and listen to this awesome reimagined love story and I would totally recommend that you listen and fall in love with Max and Treat again like I did.

I fell in love with Melissa Foster and her writing style when I read the original Lovers at Heart. Max and Treat grabbed my heart and my mind and I struggled to EVER put that book down. As a reader there are ALWAYS things within the book that you wish you could change or have re-imagined. When this new version of Max and Treats love story came out, I was worried that it might be a complete re-write and it would lose what I had fallen in love with ... BUT the complete opposite was true. I fell further in love with Max and Treat. If you have a couple hours ... sit down with this book/audiobook and re-imagine love with Max and Treat.

Love Treat and Max!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Every woman needs a Treat! He cherises Max like no one has before and I loved watching their relationship flourish! It was nice seeing a different side of Max than we are used to and seeing her enjoy being taken care of. It was great getting to know the Braden family. I was sad when the book ended - I wish it was a bit longer! I loved the narrators - they are 2 of my favorites and did a fantastic job! Would definitely recommend this book and can't wait to start the next one.

Every girl needs a Treat

Lovers at Heart is the fourth book in the Love in Bloom series. While previously published the updated Reimagined version expands on the story of Max and Treat with more background and a better well-rounded story.

I absolutely fell in love with Treat Braden. I loved that he was an older, more mature man at 37. A nice break from all the young twenty-somethings so common in todays romance genres. His maturity showed in his relationship and patience with Max. Although he dealt with his own past ghosts he did so without angst and drama and faced up to his past. He was so kind and loving with Max he melted my heart.

I adored Max as well. If you have read the earlier books in the Love in Bloom series you have met the competent, efficient executive assistant Max who totally runs Treat’s cousin Chaz’s festival. In this book, we find that Max had a traumatic experience with an ex-boyfriend in college that has colored her faith in her relationships ever since. As usual, Melissa Foster deftly handles challenging issues such as abuse, death and grief in a sensitive and real-life manner. I loved how Max handled her issues. She acknowledged her problems and faced them in the strong, sensible manner we have grown to like about her. Yes, she had emotional moments, but she never fell into a “pity poor me” hole, but looked forward and took active steps to face her demons so she could have the future she wanted with Treat.

This story was sexy and hot but also had a lot of character development. I simply loved how sensible both Treat and Max were while they worked things out. Every girl could use a Treat to love her like he does Max. Throughout the book we meet characters from previous books and are introduced to Treat’s large Braden family, a group who puts family first and supports each other in spite of difference. I look forward to listening to their stories.

This audiobook was narrated by the amazing Andi Arndt and Sebastian York. With this dynamic duo, what more needs to be said. These incredible narrators never fail to do an amazing job. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them.
This is by far my favorite book so far in the series. If you find the Snow Sisters trilogy hard to start with, skip ahead to this first book in the Braden series. You won’t be disappointed.

Captivating, romantic and truly beautiful story

‘Lovers At Heart’ was the very first book I read that introduced me to Melissa Foster’s books, and it started an obsession and a full on love of the romance genre. So when I learnt of the audio book and a reimagined version of a story I loved so much, I was so excited to give it a listen.

I really enjoyed the narrators of this story, having a male for Treat’s perspective and a female for Max, enabled the story to feel very believable and like a drama playing out in my mind. Their clear and soft tones really portrayed the romantic elements of the story well, and I enjoyed listening to the audio book to wind down from a busy day.

This audio book is ideal for those who struggle to read physical books, but want a well-written and clearly narrated story that captured the full essence of love story.

Treat Braden is the eldest of his siblings, and he feels a lot of accountability and responsibility due to the loss of his mother. So it’s not often that he would consider wanting something for himself, but there’s something about Max that captivated his mind, and is unshakeable. So when they run into each other again after a fun evening in each other’s company, it feels kismet, and Max cannot help but feel unsettled and hot under the collar.

The two are on fire, and their romance is off the scale, realistic, believable and totally catapulted me as a reader into a fictional world I’ve remained trapped in.

I’d recommend all of Melissa Foster’s books to those who love sweet romances, and strong inspirational characters. All can be read or listened to as stand-alones or as part of a full series.

JUST AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL!!!

Lovers at Heart was the first book I read of Melissa's so listening to Lovers at Heart Reimagined was a no brainer and I fell in love with Treat and Max all over again.

Treat will make you melt. After their first initial encounter he is so protective and loving with Max, enough to make any girl swoon right? He falls in love with Max hard and fast and will do anything to make it up to her after their initial encounter goes wrong.

Max has been hurt badly in the past and as much as she wants to fall she is scared and it takes time and patience by Treat and a little bit of fate for them to get their HEA.

Lovers at Heart Reimagined is just as brilliant as it's original and enhanced the love between Treat and Max with the changes made giving us more insight into their relationship. I listened to this book in in one sitting as I couldn't stop.

It was also great to catch up with the other Braden siblings and makes me want to re-read and listen to all the Weston Braden books/audiobooks again, actually every book/audiobook in the Love in Bloom series if I am honest.

This audiobook is highly recommended, as is all Melissa's audiobooks!

Lovers at Heart

The Story:
Lovers at Heart, Reimagined by Melissa Foster (Love in Bloom: The Bradens) I have a confession to make, I have not read Treat and Max’s original story, so how this is re-imagined I am not sure, but one thing I am sure off is that this is a truly heartwarming story of second chances by the very talented Melissa Foster.
Her Love in Bloom universe is immense and each book is different but all have characters that are real, relatable and easy to fall for.

Lovers at Heat is an emotional ride for Treat Braden and Max Armstrong. They shared a magical evening together and the day after based on a misunderstanding Max ran from Treat and he has been longing for her every since. Six months later Treat heads back home to his father ranch and family and a chance meeting sees him bump into Max! The desire he felt for all this time bubbles to the surface and he is determined not to let her run away again.

Max has been betrayed in the past and never in a million years did she expect to fall hard for Treat – a man who could have any woman on earth by the way, but he chose her. But her past insecurity and betrayal caused her to run, and Treat had no idea just what he had done.

Once they finally get together again, and Max explains her past, Treat tells her about his own betrayal and proves that he is nothing like her ex.

This is one emotional story for Max, and I absolutely loved every moment of it from the first to last page, I loved how they were together and how above all love prevails no matter what happens.

The Narration:
I was bit unsure of Sebastian York at first as his voice felt a tad emotionless to start with and slightly monotone, but as the chapters went on his voice grew with the story. I enjoyed the dual voices of Sebastian and Andi, which really brought the characters to life.
