Love Jo Watson

I love Jo Watson. I find her books funny and help me escape from my daily routine and life. However, I wasn’t thrilled with the narrator but what are you going to do . . . I liked the characters. The storyline was a bit predictable but aren’t most rom-coms.

Disappointing

The narrator sounded like a twelve years old. The story was based in South Africa but all the characters were white or Asian. There were too many "innuendos" which repeated endlessly and not enough action. The work situation where the love interest was her boss was also annoying and all wrong for the me too era. All in all I was very generous with the three star rating.
