Publisher's summary

How do you know if you've found the one? Can you really love the one you're with when you can't forget the one who got away?

Emily Giffin, author of the New York Times bestselling novels Something Borrowed, Something Blue, and Baby Proof, poses these questions—and many more—with her highly anticipated, thought-provoking new audio novel Love the One You're With.

Ellen and Andy's first year of marriage doesn't just seem perfect, it is perfect. There is no question how deep their devotion is, and how naturally they bring out the best in each other. But one fateful afternoon, Ellen runs into Leo for the first time in eight years. Leo, the one who brought out the worst in her. Leo, the one who left her heartbroken with no explanation. Leo, the one she could never quite forget. When his reappearance ignites long-dormant emotions, Ellen begins to question whether the life she's living is the one she's meant to live.

At once heartbreaking and funny, Love the One You're With is a tale of lost loves and found fortunes—and will resonate with anyone who has ever wondered what if.

"Giffin's snappy prose makes Ellen's dilemma compelling, once again proving she's at the top of the chick-lit pack." (Booklist)

Love the One You're With

I have a personal connection to what happens in the book. Emily Giffin wrote it in such a way that will make one believe that the situation is real. I throughly enjoyed this audio book.

good read

However happily married, there is always someone from the past that makes you think about what might have happened if ... Giffin does a good job in having her main character Ellen confronted with her past.
The abridged version is well done: Nothing is missing or seems rushed and the narration is well done.

Heartwarming.. Couldn't stop listening!

I am a big fan of Emily Giffin, but this book was by far my favorite. This story really hit home for me because I know that I have often wondered, "what if." I was so pleased to see that Giffin tackled this question with an honest and accurate portrayal of the questions that we often find ourselves asking throughout life. Like her other books, I found myself understanding the characters, without necessarily agreeing with them. I was so enthralled with the story and I could not stop listening to it!!

not as good as her other books

if you enjoyed something blue or baby proof, this lastest book might be a bit disappointing. The character lacks the depth required to feel for her and her situation. She just seems silly and selfish, instead of someone who is going through a real, emotional struggle. I generally enjoy emily giffin's books, but one is less than stellar.
