A fun sequel
Just like the first book, a great mix of daily life, romance, and drama, with a healthy dose of timely social issues. It doesn’t get too depressing though- the characters find allies all around them, and villains are put in their place. Some of the narration is a little tell-not-show, but the characters are memorable and lovable and I’m looking forward to seeing where they go next.

Eye Roll Here
I liked the first book well enough. But this book was poorly written. The author repeated information over and over, seemingly believing the reader hadn't heard her the first time or the third time. Dialogue from one scene to another was inconsistent. Picking up in a new direction not indicated by the previous discussion.
Tedious is a good way to describe the writing.
