Publisher's Summary

In December of 2011, I gave a talk to an audience of scientists, Pentagon officials, politicians, and CEOs on the secret of life and how I'd figured it out the previous summer. Afterward, people came up individually and told me how much what I'd shared meant to them. This book is based on the truth I spoke about. It's something I learned from within myself, something I believed saved me. And more than that, the way I set about to do it.

This is a collection of thoughts on what I learned, what worked, what didn't. Where I succeed and importantly, where I fail daily. The truth is to love yourself with the same intensity you would use to pull yourself up if you were hanging off a cliff with your fingers. As if your life depended upon it. Once you get going, it's not hard to do. Just takes commitment and I'll share how I did it.

It's been transformative for me. I know it will be transformative for you as well.

Needed for the millenial

Millenials NEED to listen to/read this book. We suffer enough. Time to heal. As a black man and a millenial, I understand all too well what it means to hate oneself. I have always equated loving oneself with narcissim. I was wrong completely. On a completely different note, I notice that the tools he explained to use are the same exact tools I've used, to quit drinking and smoking 4 years ago. The same exact tools.

The repetition works because while a drinking stoner, I would often tell myself "I hate drinking and smoking". Every single day even if I was drinking and smoking. Like Kamal said, eventually it sticks...

Thank you for this Kamal. I was stuck in a self defeating purgatory, seeking validation from everyone else all while not understanding why I was so angry and lonely. It was simply because I didn't love self. I want to love everyone else, yet I couldn't because I wasn't finished redefining myself after quitting the alcohol and the smoking. I've since pinpointed my issues with self and will be applying every single thing you've stated. Even the ones I already knew. This book will be shared along with everything I've learned. Love, Steven.

C

not terrible, but nothing earth-shattering either. Kind of reminded me of a less-gushy version of Louise Hay's Mirror Work ("I love and appreciate myself" bla bla bla). I'm sure you'll experience something if you do it. For $3, why not?

It's ok. quick read.

I think it's a good book especially for people that haven't read many other books yet that go deeper into the topic. its basically a short and easy simple summary scratching the surface of a bunch of other books like Biology of Belief, the secret, E-Cubed, a new earth... etc.

Largely useless fluff

Repeat "I love myself" 2 billion times. The rest is just to boost word count.

Decent

Would definitely not pay 20 for this book, but if you need some reassurance, it's a decent read. Not sure all the hype around it, nothing he says is truly life changing, but reiteration. The idea that repetition can lead to truth. Remind yourself each day why you love yourself.

Not for everybody

Appreciate you sharing your experience, however in my opinion it was not for me. I think whatever you needed to tell yourself to get through worked for you but truly these basic techniques of repeating mantras will not work for everyone. God bless.

life changing solutions should be easy

I am not sure why someone would give this book (essay) less than 5 stars.

I am a health coach. When I work with my clients, almost without a fail, I trace the onset of their health issues to a lack of self-love and gratitude for what they already have in their lives. While diet and lifestyle play a huge role in our health, our attitude toward ourselves can render even the best of our efforts useless.

When we transform this area of their lives, without a fail, we're able to get rid of even the incurable diseases.

Solutions to most complicated problems in our lives SHOULD BE EASY and common sense. This book fits that profile.

Thank you for writing it, Kamal!

Can't believe I wasted my time and money

Was very disappointed in this book.
It offered little practical advice and was very thin on real content. What little content there was, was stretched out to fill out the book.

Embodied Truth shared with Heart

In an age where knowledge is available to everyone at the click of a button, the embodiment of that knowledge is what makes the real difference. Knowledge applied and lived through experience carries the frequency of Truth and we all recognise Truth when we come across it. What makes receiving Kamal’s Truth all the more special is the heart with which it is offered.
He doesn’t say: “Go over there, it’s good”. He says: “Come over here, it’s good”.

The book offers very practical, concrete and simple tools that can be put into practice everyday to experience life in a way many have never experienced before.

A moving and inspiring testimony

Stay way from this rubbish book

I read many self help books but this one is absolutely horrible.
I have never seen something like this.
The author should be ashamed of himself to sell something like this.
The whole book tells you should constantly say to yourself I love myself - that`s all.
In other words is about one affirmation, nothing more.
If you read a few pages of any book with similar topic you will receive much more information or just a 3 minute youtube video teaches you more.
I recommend you should stick to experts in any field (not litter your mind with wrong information created by people who really have no credentials)
Do not trust feedback, creating fake ones is a standard these days.

There is a truly magical feel to this...

His Voice, His story, His advice, His Love. There is a truly magical feel to this piece of work like u get watching a dream-like movie. So Beautiful! I honestly felt energy running through my heart, chest and stomach as he spoke and I listened. i feel my body is wakening up. There are insights here that are in total agreement with the works of quantum and neuro experts such as Dr. Joe Dispenza. It comes across so personable in this book. Makes me want to believe, truly believe and u know what? I do! And I vow! Thank you Kamal! I will be listening to you intently again and again! Truth=Beauty

It was what I needed.

I don't think this book deserves 5 stars. Sure the story was good and the narrators voice was soothing but overall it is a 4.5 star book for me. But it gets an extra half star from me because it was exactly what I needed in a short and sweet dosage. I've struggled with the concept of "Self Love" but this book has opened my eyes to it clearly. Therefore I am giving it 5 out of 5 and I am going to love myself while doing so. 😀😀😁

The Rawest, Most Genuine Writing This Century

I’ve read tonnes of self-help books from the greatest gurus of all time, and I dare say that this is one of the most genuine piece of work I’ve ever come across. I don’t how else to say it, but it’s just not fake. The concept sold by the author is not new, but it’s genuine. I felt it and I am reminded how very much I want to restart this process in my life. Thanks Kamal, keep on writing.

I really regret spending money on this.

The author tells you to repeat "I love myself" over and over. That's it. That's the whole book. Each chapter is about 2 mins long. I really got nothing out of this and I can't see how anyone else would either. Harsh but true- save your money.
