Queensboro Bay is located on the Lake Superior shoreline and its harbor services the vast shipping industry of the Great Lakes. The Inn bequeathed to the entire Steger clan is a run down and horrid eyesore for the entire community. Nels feels depressed after losing friends, his career in the military, and even his peace of mind. He decided that the best therapy might be rehabbing the Inn with his brother Cooper. Soon he begins to see a new and happy future spread out in front of him, but is it just his hard work or could it be the adorable new housekeeper they hired for the Inn that is changing his mood?
Faye was passing through Queensboro on the Greyhound bus toward places unknown. When she saw the advertisement for part-time help to expedite the opening of the Inn, she decided that this town is as good as any to earn some cash for her future travels. The minute her eyes land on Nels, though, something snaps inside of her, and she feels a camaraderie with this silent warrior that can’t be denied. As time draws near for her to move on with her adventures, she finds it difficult to leave as she gets more ingrained with the Steger family and especially with a special young man named Nels.
Will these two find the strength to give love a chance or will Faye be on the next bus out of town forever, putting Queensboro Bay in her rearview mirror?
